Belen was great. It was a great experience!
This was a great tour. Our bus driver did not speak very good English so communication was an issue. Other than that, it was well worth the $$
Bellen was an excellent driver and easy to get along with. She picked us up at 10 AM and had us back to our hotel by 6:15 PM. You were able to visit four distilleries. What other communication was scarce beforehand. Once things were scheduled on their end, we began getting communication from the group. You just have to be patient and wait until they get around to schedule everything.
We were really looking forward to this bourbon tour, but unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. Communication was a significant challenge throughout the day. Our tour guide spoke very limited English, making it difficult to understand the information being shared and the instructions provided. In addition, meeting times were changed frequently, after giving us a designated time to return to the bus, we were often asked to come back 10–15 minutes earlier, which created confusion and made it difficult to enjoy each stop. Time management was also disappointing. Because of delays and poor organization, we were unable to visit all three scheduled distilleries. The highlight of the day was our stop at Buffalo Trace, which was an excellent experience. Unfortunately, because of the communication issues and poor time management, I would not recommend this particular tour.
be careful where you post your review. I need to let you know that we have not had any customer named Ashley in the past four months. Also, our tours usually include visits to more than four distilleries.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience was extremely disappointing. I originally missed my scheduled tour, and I understood that the booking was non-refundable. However, the company reached out to me directly and offered what they described as a “complimentary bourbon tour in July.” They asked me to choose a date, confirmed my new reservation, added me to their schedule, and even requested my hotel information so they could plan the pickup. At no point during those conversations was I told that I would later be expected to purchase new distillery tickets or pay additional fees. That information only surfaced after all of the arrangements had been made. When I questioned why these charges had never been disclosed, the owner became defensive, claimed he had no obligation to give me anything for free, and ended the conversation in an unprofessional manner. Rather than acknowledging the confusing communication, I was accused of being disrespectful. I have the text message history documenting the offer of a “complimentary bourbon tour,” the confirmation of my July reservation, and the absence of any mention of additional ticket costs until much later. Businesses can make mistakes. What matters is how they handle them. Unfortunately, this experience was marked by poor communication, shifting expectations, and customer service that fell well below what I would expect. I cannot recommend this company.
Thank you for confirming that you understood your original reservation was non-refundable. Pamela Reed and Neil Ochoa, you canceled your tour only a few hours before it started because you changed your travel plans. Tripadvisor confirmed our strict cancellation policy, so you lost your original tour and distillery tickets. Even though our policies did not require any exception, we still chose to help you. We offered complimentary transportation for your future visit. You only needed to purchase new distillery tickets because the distilleries do not refund, replace, or reuse tickets. Our team always works hard to find the best solution for our customers, even when our policies do not require us to do so. You asked us to provide new distillery tickets at no cost, but we could not do that. We understand your frustration, but nothing justifies insulting our team. We wish you the best.
Communication was an issue to start. Seemed disorganized. Food ola. Was horrible. Eating in van was not good. We then had van break down causing us to miss a key stop. The people did all they could to get us a stop and home
Thank you for your feedback. You booked your tour less than 24 hours before departure, and we arranged your itinerary on short notice. You visited Four Roses, Buffalo Trace, and Woodford Reserve as scheduled. The group chose to eat lunch in the van so everyone could spend about 2.5 hours at Buffalo Trace. We also offered a complimentary stop at Bulleit, but a flat tire and the remaining time prevented that extra visit. We sincerely apologize for the flat tire. We immediately sent another van, and our team worked quickly to keep the tour moving, find the best solution, and get everyone back safely. Thank you for your feedback.
While it's nice being shuttled around for tours, we felt like our tours were somewhat rushed since they were scheduled back to back with a very tight schedule. You really didn't have much time to relax and tour the gift shop or try a personal tasting at the bars because we needed to move on quickly to the next distillery. At Buffalo Trace, the tour was ok, but the tasting was low-end in terms of offerings (including Wheatley Vodka, Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Sazerac Rye...EH Taylor was the most premium selection). Honestly, we did a FREE tasting after the tour which including Weller 12, Weller Antique 107, etc. which was far better. Finally, our tour operator driving the shuttle was sweet, knowledgeable, and well organized...but there was a bit of a language barrier and we had a difficult time understanding her. Also, the communication leading up to our tour was awful. Our original distillery selections were changed, and it was very difficult to get questions answered until the last minute, even though we booked a few months in advance. Probably wouldn't recommend Viator, as it was just OK, and challenging to communicate with.
It sounds like you can choose where you go. This is not true. Communication was lacking, even when I reached out specifically to determine the destinations. Everything was presented the night before and they were not willing to have a conversation to resolve my questions. This meant an hour of texting back and forth. The driver and actual experience were fine and it was mostly a good experience once it started but the planning and communication was a zero star experience
Thank you for your feedback. You booked your tour less than 48 hours before your Sunday tour. We explained that Willett closes on Sundays and that the other craft distillery you requested falls outside our tour area. You asked to visit Jeptha Creed and Buffalo Trace, and we made that happen. We also added Four Roses to complete your itinerary. I'm sorry our communication did not meet your expectations. We truly appreciate your comments about your driver and the tour. Our team worked hard to give you a great experience, and we're glad you enjoyed both. Thank you for choosing us.
The experience was true to the listing. We visited four distilleries (Bulliet, Castle and Key, Buffalo Trace, and Larrikin). Our group very much enjoyed the experience. Castle and Key was especially beautiful. The only issue we experienced (thus only for stars) is that the communication ahead of time not great. I reached out several time ahead of the excursion and received no response.
The tour was great. We booked our trip only a week before going and was able to book this tour. They were able to get us into great distilleries as well as my #1 pick. The driver/guide was knowledgeable. I also really liked the door-to-door service for pickup from the hotel.
