Borghese Gallery Guided Tour with Priority Entrance
Description
Enjoy a 2-hour visit discovering amazing masterpieces home to the Borghese Gallery. You will meet your Tour Guide in front of the Gallery, receive headsets to listen clearly, and enter with skip-the-line entrance tickets. Your visit will start on the ground floor where you will get the chance to visit Bernini's famous " Rape of Proserpina" and learn about the latin myth behind this amazing masterpiece. Your visit will continue by discovering other famous masterpieces created by Bernini such as " Apollo & Daphne" and " David". Your journey will then continue to the first floor where your Tour Guide will show you acclaimed paintings made by Raphael and Caravaggio, such as the " Young sick Bacchus" and " Boy with a basket of fruit". Not only will the statues and paintings leave you astonished, but the Gallery itself is beautifully adorned with gold crown mouldings and frescoes covering entirely the ceilings.

Fantastic experiment with our guide. She knew everything about the history of the paintings and sculptures in the gallery and it really helped to greatly enhance our experience. You could tell she enjoyed her job as she’s been a guide for 18+ years and has an art history background so we were in good hands. And better, I lucked out on being in a small group of 5 so we were able to maneuver around the gallery with ease and got any and all questions answered. Easy 5 stars from me!

Our tour guide was Sabrina and she was so knowledgeable of the art in the museum. As an art teacher, I was familiar with the art but still she still had information about it that I didn’t know. However, my husband said he learned to much and was so impressed with everything he learned. Highly recommend!!

Our fault, but the instructions weren’t specific enough as to where the Gallery was. We entered at the far north end and it was a15 minute walk traversing the beautiful gardens to get to the far south end where the Gallery was. We almost missed our tour.
