Walking street food tour with Jasmine was informative and amusing. Good guide.
We had Jasmine as our tour guide and she was fabulous. So knowledgeable and friendly, put us at ease straight away. Lots of food - definitely come hungry! We learnt alot about local foods and also stopped at local historic spots for some interesting facts. 100% value for money. Thanks Jasmine!!!
The food tour through Bologna was a lot of fun. We were a colorful international group, and with 12 participants, it was still small enough that everyone could have good conversations with each other. Michele led the tour very well. He was very approachable, cheerful, and enthusiastic about the subject. He was able to tell us a lot about the history of the local dishes and also shared some historical facts about Bologna. Since the tour starts at 11:30 AM, I would recommend not having a big breakfast. The offered dishes throughout the tour, which lasted about 2½ hours, are plentiful without being overwhelming. We started with various aged Parmesan cheese with balsamic vinegar and tigelle with cheese and sun-dried tomatoes. Next, we had sandwiches with various cold cuts (mortadella, prosciutto, porchetta) and red wine. Afterward, there were fantastic fried tortellini with cheese sauce, and to finish, we had gelato. At three of the four stops, there was also water to drink. There were usually 15 to 20 minutes between each station, and there was always enough time to eat the dishes without rushing. At the sandwich shop, there was also a restroom break, so no one had to feel uncomfortable. All in all, it was a fantastic tour with a great guide, and both my companion and I would wholeheartedly recommend the tour and would book it again at any time.
We took part in a tour led by Michele and were thrilled. There was a lot of historical information about the food and the city of Bologna. With the tour, one experiences and enjoys the city in a completely unique and interesting way. Allergies were taken into consideration. There was aged Parmigiano served with Tigelle, fried Tortellini, three different sandwiches, red wine, and finally: Gelato. The tour lasted about 2 1/2 hours for us.
Excellent tour! Domenico was very friendly, knowledgeable, and communicative. He knew Bologna very well and was open to questions throughout the tour. We also had our toddler with us, and Domenico was very flexible with our needs.
Dominico is a great guide. Very personable and we enjoyed everything we tried. Highly recommend him!
Domenico was an exceptional guide for our Bologna food tour with Depetrini Tours! He was incredibly informative, organized, and kept everything running smoothly while sharing wonderful insights throughout the experience. The tastings were absolutely delicious, offering an authentic and memorable introduction to Bologna’s incredible food scene. Every stop was thoughtfully chosen, and the food was outstanding from start to finish. The group size was perfect—small enough to feel personal and enjoyable—and ending the tour with a lovely glass of wine was the perfect finishing touch. This was truly a fantastic culinary experience, and I would not hesitate to book this tour again or try any of Depetrini Tours’ other experiences. Highly recommend!
Domenico gave us a real flavor of the local foods of Bologna. We enjoyed the tortellini in cones, that had a very unique flavor. The parmigiana cheese with balsamic vinegar tasting was awesome. The round sandwich in a distinctive bread with a unique marking and inside was with soft local cheese and sun dried tomatoes. So delicious. Also, he gave us a testing of Bologna wine, Sangiovese, mortadella, prosciutto, focaccia and lastly Gelato to die for.
