I highly recommend this tour in Bologna. Our guide, Sara, was so friendly and knowledgeable, she did an amazing job. She made sure we were all happy with the food and drinks provided, and she gave us the history of where we were walking in between places. All of the food was excellent, this tour is absolutely wrth the money.
Domenico as a guide was great. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Bologna as well as the food. He kept us very well hydrated which was appreciated as it was very hot throughout our tour. That being said, while the tour is meant to be "street food" it was a bit disappointing in that the food was practically all the same. We stopped at 4 venues and had sandwiches at 3 of them with practically the same ingredients. It would have been to have at least 1 stop that did all the traditional bits like different balsamic vinegars & mortadella.
Eric, our tour guide was excellent. Not only was he very knowledgeable about Bologna's food scene, he also had great information about the historical & "quirky" side of the city. We really enjoyed this very walkable & comprehensive food tour.
Jasmine is not only super friendly, she is super knowledgeable about the food and history of the city! I love that she stopped and pointed out historical facts and things about the city as we walked from place to place. The food stops were perfect, from cheese, fried tortellini, and mortadella and more! Pro tip: get the melon gelato in the summer! And ask for Jasmine!
We really enjoyed this culinary tour with Domenico, an educational tour not only about the cuisine but also about the history of Bologna; we loved our many tastings but also appreciated Domenico's enthusiasm and friendliness. Thank you.
Dominico was an excellent guide, a very good communicator and he had great knowledge of the city, the food and the history. A really interesting and delicious tour and good value. Grazi!!
Great tour. Knowledgeable guide - Michele. He was friendly and had interesting stories about the city and its food. We really enjoyed it.
Walking street food tour with Jasmine was informative and amusing. Good guide.
We had Jasmine as our tour guide and she was fabulous. So knowledgeable and friendly, put us at ease straight away. Lots of food - definitely come hungry! We learnt alot about local foods and also stopped at local historic spots for some interesting facts. 100% value for money. Thanks Jasmine!!!
The food tour through Bologna was a lot of fun. We were a colorful international group, and with 12 participants, it was still small enough that everyone could have good conversations with each other. Michele led the tour very well. He was very approachable, cheerful, and enthusiastic about the subject. He was able to tell us a lot about the history of the local dishes and also shared some historical facts about Bologna. Since the tour starts at 11:30 AM, I would recommend not having a big breakfast. The offered dishes throughout the tour, which lasted about 2½ hours, are plentiful without being overwhelming. We started with various aged Parmesan cheese with balsamic vinegar and tigelle with cheese and sun-dried tomatoes. Next, we had sandwiches with various cold cuts (mortadella, prosciutto, porchetta) and red wine. Afterward, there were fantastic fried tortellini with cheese sauce, and to finish, we had gelato. At three of the four stops, there was also water to drink. There were usually 15 to 20 minutes between each station, and there was always enough time to eat the dishes without rushing. At the sandwich shop, there was also a restroom break, so no one had to feel uncomfortable. All in all, it was a fantastic tour with a great guide, and both my companion and I would wholeheartedly recommend the tour and would book it again at any time.
