Our tour with Ecoterra Costa Rica to Tenorio national park was an amazing day. We were the only 2 people on the tour. Our driver Vinicio arrived right on time to pick us up at our hotel. He spoke perfect English. We had plenty of time to get to the park for our entry time slot so he offered to stop if we wanted to grab breakfast. We passed a sloth in a tree and I asked him to stop for that and he did. We met Demaris our guide for the hike at the entrance to the park and she did an amazing job looking for wildlife that I definitely would not have seen otherwise. She educated us on what we were seeing as well. The day was topped off with a wonderful lunch. I highly recommend this company, the tour and hope you get Demaris and/or Vinicio.
It was a great experience. Oscar was an amazing tour guide and was very knowledgeable and passionate about the rain forest. I would suggest reading what to expect as you should be prepared to hike and wear appropriate shoes and rain gear.
Costa Rica's parks all have an interest. This one, too. Walk in these paths lined with majestic trees and wildlife. The surprise at the end of the way is this turquoise waterfall. We loved it.
It was fantastic! Harvin and Mario picked us up and we drove the 90 minutes which felt like a hike. But it was so worth it. Harvin had the dad jokes, all of the facts, and brought a scope. We saw lizards, snakes, birds, glimpses of monkeys through the trees. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. His bilingual jokes were both punny and educational. He provided constructive feedback on our Spanish. We felt safe around the venomous snakes and took amazing close up photos with his help. Thank you for such a special day. During the trip he made a comment that Costa Rica depends on American tourism. I said no, it depends on people like him who are not doing the bare minimum. A boring tour with an inattentive guide could have been dangerous. Instead we left with a memory. Thank you!
Diego was an exceptional guide! He was very informative, a good listener and accommodated the pace of the mixed ability group. The driver was also a professional at navigating the sometimes narrow, mountainous, steep roads. I felt safe. La Fortuna was quite rainy but we were fortunate to get some sunshine and Rio Celeste was blue!
Amazing tour, knowledge tour guide, trail a little bit challenged with number of uneven steps and roots, but manageable. At rain time can be sleeper. Pretty busy but if you take your time you can make pictures and enjoy view and fauna. A lot of snakes. Very recommended
Great views of the river and nature. If you have arthritis or any kind of joint issues, I would not recommend this. There's a lot of uneven trails and hundreds of steps to go up and down. Our guide Kathy was very friendly and helpful.
Wonderful experience with the Eco Terra organization, We visited the Tenorio Volcano National Park and the Rio Celeste in Costa Rica Discovery of an authentic nature We were accompanied by our guide Kattys, very friendly, attentive and considerate. Very beautiful memory of this walk discovered a vegetation and a river of an incomparable blue
Wonderful tour, excellent guide, very interesting and beautiful. Also shoutout to the driver who gave us towels and helped us after heavy rain. Nice lunch afterwards.
The hike through the park was beautiful. Our guide Daniella was outstanding describing everything about the park in great detail. The hike to the bottom of the Rio Celeste waterfall was a great experience and the walk back up was to a good workout, enough to make me grateful that I quit smoking years ago. The natural beauty of the park, including the colors of the river showed nature at its best. Even the restaurant where we dined after our hike was right on point. The food was delicious. Oh and Mario was a great driver.
