Lachlan led a great bike ride to the lake and then back around to the Visitor’s Center, and gave us a good tip about how to approach our quick hike to Nugget Falls. Enjoyed learning about the glacier while getting some good exercise.
Thanks for your review, we're glad to hear you had a great time with Lachlan!
Our bike tour to Mendenhall Glacier with Ally was absolutely fantastic and one of the highlights of our visit to Juneau. From the start, she was professional, friendly, and made sure everyone felt comfortable by clearly explaining the bikes and equipment. The ride itself was spectacular. We cycled past beautiful lakes, breathtaking glacier views, and some truly enchanting scenery that we never would have experienced on our own. Ally was knowledgeable, courteous, and created a relaxed atmosphere that made the tour enjoyable for everyone. To top it all off, we stopped at a local brewery and sampled some delicious brews before heading back to Juneau. The entire experience was well organized, fun, and memorable from beginning to end. If you’re visiting Juneau and want an active, scenic, and unforgettable adventure, I highly recommend touring with Ally!
Hi Ulrike, thank you for your thoughtful review! We're thrilled to hear you had a good time on our tour with Ali. She is an incredible guide.
We had a great biking experience with Alley. She was knowledgeable about the area and very friendly. I felt like I was in good hands during our time with her! Thank you!
Hi Ann, thank you for your review! Ali is an incredible guide, we're so glad you had a great time on her tour.
We had an amazing time on this tour, on our first day in Juneau as a family of four with a tween and teen. Company had perfect bikes that fit us all (and offered to bring two options for our tween on the cusp of kid/adult bike sizes). Tour guide Daniel was absolutely amazing and filled with facts about the area and nature. And we saw a bear!!!! Amazing communication all around.
Thank you for your review! We're so glad you had a great time with Daniel, and we agree, he is amazing!
We well taken care of. Great bikes and good rain gear was provided . Beth , our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and concerned for our safety . The ride is quite flat and manageable by just about everyone
Hi John, We're so glad to hear that you had a great time on our tour. Beth is super, thanks for the review!
We had a great bike ride today to see the glacier. Even though the weather was wet, the company provided rain gear that kept the ride comfortable and enjoyable throughout the trip. The scenery was absolutely worth it — riding through the Alaskan landscape toward the glacier made for an unforgettable experience. After the ride, we stopped to sample some fantastic local Alaskan beer. It was the perfect way to warm up and relax after the adventure. The local breweries in Alaska continue to impress us with both the quality and variety of their beers.
Hi Mark, Thank you for your review! We're glad to hear to had a good time despite our classic Juneau rain :) We hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Alaska!
We had a wonderful bike tour on excellent bicycles. We saw the Mendenhall Glacier after a 4-mile ride, starting from a beautiful spot at Mendenhall Lake. The route there is stunning, winding through Tongass National Forest. Afterwards, we rode back and had 45 minutes to explore Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, either by taking a walk or visiting the visitor center. After this great experience, we returned to Juneau, where we enjoyed tasting some delicious locally brewed beers. I can highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Juneau.
The bikes—high-quality Trek models—were in excellent condition and an absolute joy to ride. Each one was thoughtfully equipped with bottle cages (with water provided), exceptionally clean chains, smooth-operating disc brakes, and grippy flat pedals, making for a safe and effortless experience. A range of bike sizes was available, all with adjustable seat posts and impressively ergonomic saddles. We were also given outerwear in various sizes, perfect for the cool, damp weather. The jackets had roomy pockets that easily held our phones and other essentials. Helmets were available for every head size—even one that comfortably fit my husband’s very large head. The team made sure we had access to restroom facilities along the route, which was a thoughtful touch. Our guide, Suzanne, was fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the area’s history. She led the tour while also training guides Ali, Chanel, and Daniel (apologies if I misspelled any names!). The entire team was friendly, professional, and a lot of fun to be around. The tour included snacks (granola bars, fruit leather, and water) as well as a beer tasting. Even with a smaller group, they didn’t cancel—instead, we got a more personalized experience and were able to go at our own pace. And the scenery? Absolutely breathtaking. The glacier, in particular, was unforgettable.
Hi! Thanks so much for your review. We're so glad you had a great time with Suzanne, she's just the best! And thank you for your kind remarks on our new guides, we're so thrilled to have them on the team this summer! We hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Alaska.
My husband, me and my BIL and SIL took this tour while on a cruise in Alaska. Libby was our driver and guide. The ride was relatively easy with only one small hill. We were on public roads in a bike lane for much of the tour. The highlight was stopping at a lake where we had a fantastic view of the Mendenhall Glacier. A bonus stop was at the Visitors Center for the glacier. The brew portion of the tour, at a small place in Juneau, was slightly underwhelming but we ordered a pitcher of Alaskan brew with our local fish lunch to round out the day. A pleasant way to spend a few hours away from the cruise terminal.
Hi! Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed touring with Libby!
Friendly people and it was fun. There is a wonderful bike that we began to fit everyone for a bike. They provided rain gear and helmets. Which was great because it rained. The brewing company we visited had a wonderful selection and I got a flight. The red spruce beer or the golden lager were my favorites. Chris was my guide. Wonderful young man who made certain everyone kept up and had a good time. Would recommend this tour to anyone enjoys bike riding!
