We had a wonderful experience with Andrew. I fully recommend this activity. It was an excellent first day introductory tour in our vacation.
Excellent tour of beautiful Edinburgh! We thoroughly enjoyed learning about this fascinating city an its rich history and stories. Highly recommend for first time visitors to get a true appreciation of Edinburgh.
Introduction to Edinburgh so you have a better idea of what you want to focus on. Our guide was informative and told stories that illuminated and brought history to life

Sean was a great guide for our walking tour. His knowledge and enthusiasm can’t be matched. Have a teeny tiny bit of knowledge about Scotland’s deep history. He did a great job leading us through a busy Old Town tour.

It’s great that he helped bring Scotland’s deep history to life for you while guiding you through the busy Old Town. We appreciate you joining us!
Stuart was our guide on a rainy day and it was totally worth it! He’s a wealth of knowledge and helped us find areas we would not have found on our own. He also provided us with insight into many of the buildings we had passed by and made it a more meaningful experience!
Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re so glad to hear that Stuart made your rainy day in the city such a worthwhile experience. It’s great that his knowledge and insights helped you discover places you might not have found on your own and brought more meaning to the buildings you passed along the way. Our guide was Andrew and the tour company was Amitylux. Very personable and passionate about Edinburgh as shown in the amount of stories and the sometimes lengthy detail he went into. We stopped a few times for very rainy weather and he accommodated the group's needs. We did not see the entire tour even after going 15 minutes over possibly due to the length of some of the stories, the weather, and the group's physical capabilities. He assisted us with directions to get to other places of interest after his tour. It is a tour not for physically challenged for sure due to the amount of steps and the inclines in the city. It is a fascinating city.
Thank you for your detailed feedback! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed exploring Edinburgh with Andrew and appreciated his passion, storytelling, and the way he adapted to the rainy weather and group needs. It’s also great that his local tips helped you continue discovering the city afterward. We appreciate your honest notes about the pace, terrain, and overall experience, as this helps us improve future tours. We’re pleased you still found Edinburgh such a fascinating city and hope to welcome you again!
Andrew was a fantastic guide with a great sense of humor. He kept us walking for 3 hours which passed quickly as we traversed all around Edinburg's new and old towns. Lots of history and fun facts. Would definitely recommend.
Really appreciate you sharing this! We’re glad to hear Andrew’s mix of humor and knowledge made the three hours in Edinburgh both fun and engaging. It sounds like the balance of history and interesting facts kept the whole walk lively as you explored both the Old and New Towns. Thanks for the recommendation!
Andrew was excellent! We enjoyed his knowledge of the history and everything he showed us. I would have loved to have been able to stop into St. Giles and the “author’s” house. But, enjoyed everything!
It’s great to hear you enjoyed your tour with Andrew and appreciated his knowledge and the sites he shared with you. We’re glad the overall experience was a positive one for you. Sean was on time and ready to lead our tour! He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and stopped at all of the important places. He took pictures for us and lead us up to see exciting views of the city! Great way to familiarize yourself with Edinburgh so that if you want to take additional tours to HollyRood Palace, the Edinburgh castle and the Walter Scott monument, you will know how to get there! Highly recommend—and wear great walking shoes😊

Stuart was knowledgeable and fun. We only did the Royal Mile and Grass Market and would have liked to do a few "off the beaten track" locations. But the tour was well done.
