This company left us at the port. There was no advertisement of a shared group van. They are not only rude, cunning but communication has been terrible. I refuse to use TripAdvisor and Viator now that this experience has occurred. They scammed us out of close to $1000. Beware!
Pisa was a quick, fun photo stop, which was honestly enough time. Florence is spectacular. We had enough free time to eat some great pasta and walk around the Duomo. Very well organized and got us back to the ship early. Highly recommend.
The drive through the Tuscan countryside was beautiful. After the quick photo stop in Pisa, we had a fantastic time in Florence. Our guide recommended a small sandwich shop away from the main tourist squares where we got amazing panini and local wine. It’s a full day of walking and sightseeing, but it was the highlight of our cruise.
It was a great day in Firenze and Pisa! Timing was good and our guide was patient and took time to help those who needed it.
This tour was far too rushed! The advertised start time was 7:30am, but we received a message the day before that it was pushed back to 8:30am and then we left even later than that waiting for the last people in the small group to arrive and then for the bus to arrive. The (different) tour guide in Florence walked so fast that we did not have time to take any pictures; she also talked fast and constantly, and I had a very hard time understanding her through the headset. The free time in Florence was basically just enough time to eat lunch, and the tour guide was not helpful with recommendations (every other tour we took during our 3-week journey, the guides gave us excellent lunch recommendations). When we went to Pisa, we did not have enough time. We were grateful for our brief time there, though, as it was our favorite part of the tour. We made it back to port with not much time to spare to catch the last transfer to the ship. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this tour, unless they make it longer (pick-up at 7:30am, still returning close to 6pm) to give participants more time in both Florence and Pisa.
Thank you for your feedback. Please allow me to address the concerns raised: 1. The “Meeting and Pickup” and “Additional info” sections clearly states that the pickup time may vary from the time mentioned on your ticket and may be adjusted according to arriving ships, as this tour is specifically designed for cruise passengers. 2. The tour duration was delivered exactly as advertised. 3. We are sorry that the tour felt rushed. However, due to the limited time frame set by your cruise ship and the distance from the port, we are not able to offer a more relaxed tour pace. 4. The “Additional Info” section of the tour description clearly states that this tour is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for people with limited walking abilities 5. A timely return to the ship is always guaranteed. When booking future activities, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the tour description, itinerary and listed restrictions. Safe travels.
Our guide Sharif was excellent , informative and very cordial. He had great local knowledge for this trip. Just be aware there is alot of walking, we did over 6 miles..as well as bus seat time, roughly 4.5 to 5 hours in the bus. Bus was comfortable but, no bathroom and whomever the bus company was arrange for a bus the didn't have enough seats ..therefore, our guide Sharif , was sitting on the floor all the time.. All in all a great trip to wonderful city..Unfortunately, not enough time in each city to truly explore..a reason to return
I would avoid this one. Our tour guide was good. That was about it. They oversold the bus. The tour guide had to sit on the floor. We spent most of the day not walking around the sites we actually were there to see. The times quoted were really nowhere near what was promised. Luckily we were overnight at the port that on our cruise, as we got back almost 90 mins after promised, after wasting so much time.
We regret to hear that our services did not meet your expectations. Please allow us to address the concerns raised: 1. The guides join our tour in Florence, guide services are not provided during the transfers to and from the port in full accordance with this product description 2. The person you referred to as sitting on the floor was not the guide, but our tour coordinator, who was using a special fold-out crew seat on our modern coach, designed by German Setra engineers. 3. The tour duration and itinerary were delivered in full accordance with the product description. 4. Regarding the time spent at each site, the “Additional Information” section of the tour description clearly states: “Please note that the sequence of the tour itinerary and the time spent at each location might be adjusted in response to variables like traffic conditions, crowd sizes, and unforeseen events. However, we will do our best to cover all the sites mentioned in the itinerary.” When booking future activities through Viator, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the tour description, itinerary, and inclusions rather than on personal assumptions. Safe travels.
Very enjoyable day in Florence and Pisa. People should know that there is a lot of walking on this tour. We made it fine, but were not expecting it. Great tour giude and, in spite of the crowds, we say pretty much everytihng we wanted to see.
Florence is awesome as is Pisa. Our tour guide Lorenzo was very knowledgeable and kind. My only negative is that people were on this trip who were not physically able to do what the tour described. One person had a walker. While I am sympathetic to disabilities- the tour description clearly stated that it involved lots of walking over uneven surfaces and that it was not intended for persons with mobility problems. Those of us who could walk had to go so so slow and then were stuck waiting for half an hour doing nothing while the guide arranged cabs for the ones not able to make it back to the bus. So, basically we were not able to see and enjoy as many things and we spent way more time than necessary waiting because of the slow people. If you need extra help- please hire a private driver!!!!
The meeting point was right by the Cruse terminal, super easy to find. Guides make the things simple they kept the stories an details short an engaging. It's worthy tour and it is amazing from start to finish.
