I booked this Cádiz to Seville excursion through TripAdvisor and Viator expecting a basic level of professionalism and reliability. What I got instead was a complete failure on every level. We showed up at the designated meeting point on time today, June 30, ready for what was supposed to be a highlight of our trip. The tour operator never arrived. After waiting and trying to make sense of the situation, we had to call them ourselves—only to be told the tour had been canceled. No prior notice. No email. No message. Nothing. This is not just poor service—it is outright negligence. Canceling a tour at the last minute without informing customers is unacceptable under any circumstances. Leaving people stranded, wasting their time, and ruining carefully planned travel experiences is inexcusable. What makes this worse is that this booking was made through TripAdvisor and Viator, platforms that claim to offer trustworthy, vetted experiences. In reality, they are clearly failing to enforce even the most basic standards of communication and accountability among their operators. If this is the level of oversight they provide, travelers should seriously question relying on them for anything important. This excursion was not a casual add-on—it was a long-anticipated, once-in-a-lifetime visit to Seville, and it was completely spoiled. There was no attempt to warn us, no effort to offer alternatives, and no sense of responsibility from either the operator or the platforms involved. I would strongly advise others to avoid booking through TripAdvisor and Viator unless you are prepared for the possibility that your plans can be canceled without warning and without any regard for your time.
We regret to hear about your disappointment. Before booking any further activities through TripAdvisor, we strongly recommend reading and understanding the cancellation policy. Your booking was cancelled for a full refund in full accordance with this policy. The system sent an email to the address provided at the time of booking more than 48 hours before the tour start time, allowing you plenty of time to make an alternative booking. If you had any issues receiving emails, please address this with your internet provider or the host of your email address. Safe travels!
It was a solid introduction to Cadiz for first-timers. Nothing felt overwhelming. We had enough time after the guided part to split up and explore on our own.
This was a pleasant shore excursion for us. Nothing felt overly structured, and we liked having time to just wander the old streets on our own. It’s a good option if you want something simple and stress-free.
Nothing overly complicated about this tour, which is exactly what we wanted. The group size was manageable and the itinerary allowed us to see the main areas without rushing.
We booked this as a couple and really liked the easy pace. The tour didn’t feel rushed, and we had enough free time to walk around the old town and enjoy a coffee. A simple but well-planned way to see Cádiz during a cruise stop.
We traveled with our two kids and parents, and this tour worked well for all ages. The walking pace was comfortable, and the free time allowed us to rest and enjoy snacks in the city. A good option for families on a cruise stop.
