Pick-up from Your Hotel or a central Beirut meeting point. Your guide introduces the day’s journey as you head east through the Lebanese mountains toward the Bekaa Valley.
Drive east to Anjar and explore Lebanon’s only Umayyad archaeological site. Walk the colonnaded main street and discover the palace ruins of this unique 8th-century trading city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visit one of the largest carved monoliths ever discovered. Located near Baalbek, this massive Roman-era stone block continues to raise questions about ancient engineering techniques and construction methods.
Arrive at Baalbek and explore the magnificent Roman temple complex with your guide. See the Temple of Jupiter, the remarkably intact Temple of Bacchus, and the Temple of Venus. Your guide explains the site’s 9,000-year history — from Phoenician origins through Roman occupation to the modern day.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Baalbek’s old town or in Zahle. Your guide will recommend the best spots for traditional Lebanese cuisine.

Our guide Hassan was a pleasure to travel with. Our trip was long, but his informative and light communication style made it seem short. We went to Aanjar, Baalbek and ksara winery, and throughout, we had great information and conversation. He drove carefully, and made our trip very enjoyable. His English was flawless.
It was a fantastic day trip. Well planned. Not too long, not too short. Was great to see historical sites in Anjar and Baalbec and visiting winery in Ksara. The highlight of the trip was our tour leader, Hassane. He made the trip fun, was very friendly, caring and at the same time informative. Also lunch was amazing. Overall I highly recommend the tour.
