The Forbidden City is located at the center of Beijing's central axis and was the royal palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties in China. It covers an area of approximately 720,000 square meters, with a construction area of about 150,000 square meters. There are over 70 palaces of various sizes and more than 9,000 rooms. The architectural style of the Temple of Heaven is unique, embodying the cosmology of "the sky is round and the earth is square" and the philosophical thought of "the unity of heaven and man". The main buildings, such as the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the Imperial Dome and the Circular Mound, all demonstrate the superb craftsmanship of ancient Chinese architecture and are exemplary of ancient Chinese architectural art. In every respect a great experience. Our guide was excellent and communicated in perfect English. The tour is very interesting and includes most of the major sightseeing spots. It was a pleasure being driven through the streets of Beijing in a luxurious Buik. I can highly recommend this tour and Linda the tour guide.
Linda is amazing. She speaks good English and is very informative on the history of the places we visited. She was easy to speak and ask questions and very responsive before and after the trip. Would highly recommend her.
I highly recommend Linda. We contacted her to arrange transportation from Tianjin to Beijing, a city tour, and the return trip to Tianjin. We were really happy that on our second day tour Adele was our Guide. She planned the day so well according to our needs and wishes. We started with the Forbidden city. She guided us well through the crowds of people, got us all the entrance tickets in the quickest way possible and taught us so many things about the historical background. Since we had -11 degrees Celsius outside temperature she made sure we had breaks to warm up. She kept it interesting for our 2 children and the whole family. Afterwards we went to the Lama temple and the temple of heaven. We could explore so many impressive monuments in just one day. The driver-pick up always went so smoothly that we never had to wait long. Adele is so warm and communicative that we learned so many things that day. My recommendation if you only have 2 days to explore Beijing: book this tour with Linda and Adele!

Adele was great! Fun informative tour and ate lunch at a wonderful authentic local restaurant. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect we had a wonderful experience.
