Not what I expected…

This trip was great for hitting major landmarks and photo ops in Baranquilla and Santa Marta. However, I requested a bilingual guide because I’m not fluent in Spanish. I think because I was the only English speaker they didn’t care to give me a guide. I spent most of the day trying to understand what was going on. There were historical parts of the tour that I missed out on because it wasn’t translated to English. The lunch was delicious and I appreciated the free time to wander in Santa Marta. Getting home was chaotic. For some reason I was put onto another tour bus going back and then because my hotel was close to the airport I wasn’t even brought all the way back and they brought me to Centro and made me take a cab back to my hotel. It was a long day, waking up at 4:00am and not getting back until 10:00pm.
