A great day out. Our driver Branco was very informative and helpful. Highly recommend.
We were shuttled to a number of pre-arranged wineries and food outlets, not all very receptive or interesting, but given only a very little bit of commentary by our young driver/guide along the way, and some of that was patently inaccurate. We were dropped at the cheese shop and chocolate shop with little explanation and no handover, leaving us unsure what we were supposed to be doing or paying for. Enjoyed the day out but could have been much better. The wineries chosen were much more receptive and better organised.
Our guide for the day was fun but the tour really was not as advertised. We chose it even though it was quite expensive because it offered a variety of experiences. Lookouts were great. Wineries were good and Lunch was tasty. It advertised cheese tasting which we did but it was a tiny amount of cheese between the 2 of us. It advertised a variety of chocolate tasting and we got one tiny piece about half a cm. At Maggie Beers Farm Shop it advertised tasting products and photos with her the cook and the chef apron but we got dropped off there and our guide disappeared for a while and we got to do none of it.
What a wonderful day exploring the Barossa. We travelled in comfort with our driver Wafiq. Who was very knowledgeable and a safe driver We visited The Cheese Factory, chocolate Factory, Maggie Beers Farm, 1837 for lunch and wine tasting, Seppetsfield, and our favourite Underground Barossa and The whispering wall. Our group consisted of my son and I and 3 tourists from the US. We all got on fabulously and had a wonderful day..
Excellent day touring the Barossa Valley. Maddy made our day an excellent adventure. Wines and food were amazing. Would do it again without hesitation.
