Itinerary
We’ll begin the day at the majestic Château Yaldara, one of the Barossa Valley’s most iconic and historic wineries. Established in 1947 by Hermann Thumm, a European winemaker who brought his old-world techniques to Australia, the château itself sits on the site of an original 19th-century flour mill, adding layers of charm and character to the estate. Famous for its award-winning Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, Château Yaldara blends rich winemaking traditions with stunning architecture. The name "Yaldara" is derived from the Aboriginal word meaning “sparkling,” a nod to the nearby North Para River and the natural beauty of the area. Guests will experience the award winning wines and estate’s grand sandstone buildings, manicured gardens, and riverside views—making it one of the most photographed destinations in the Barossa. You’ll also have time to explore the grounds with a self-guided tour of the estate, perfect for soaking in its history and capturing memorable photos.
Barossa Crown jewel and The Kingdom of Palms: Seppeltsfield: We journey toward the horizon where the iconic Avenue of Palms signals our arrival at Seppeltsfield—a destination that feels more like a private kingdom than a vineyard. Within the monumental Centennial Cellar, history is liquid. Explore: The jam factory Craft and design -10 minutes Vasse Virgin - 20 minutes Ocetine Cafe - 10 minutes
Beyond the vines, the estate is a vibrant Artisan Village. Breathe in the essential oils at Vasse Virgin, watch master artisans at the JamFactory, or grab a specialty brew at Octeine Cafe. It is a living cultural landmark where 170 years of history meet modern luxury.

Perched on a nearby hilltop overlooking the estate, the Seppeltsfield Mausoleum is a grand Grecian-style monument and the final resting place of the Seppelt family. A short drive or walk leads you to this dramatic stone structure, offering one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the Barossa Valley’s patchwork vineyards. It stands as a silent, majestic sentinel to the family’s enduring legacy and the history of the land they transformed.
We recommend a special stop that locals rave about—Browns Barossa Donuts. This isn’t just any bakery stop; it’s a bite of pure indulgence, known for serving the best donuts in South Australia. Open only Wednesday to Saturday, Browns Barossa Donuts has earned a cult following for its handmade brioche donuts, crafted fresh each morning using locally sourced ingredients. From the moment you step inside, the sweet scent of caramel, chocolate, and fresh dough pulls you in. Flavours like Biscoff cheesecake, Nutella dream, and dulce de leche éclairs make this more than just a snack—it’s an experience. Perfectly timed into our itinerary, this stop gives you a taste of Tanunda’s delicious side and adds a bit of fun (and sugar!) to your day of wine, culture, and discovery. Don’t be surprised if you leave with a box of treats for the ride home—these donuts are too good to resist. (Purchases at your own cost)
As we journey through the Barossa Valley, you’ll pass by the iconic Jacob’s Creek—one of Australia’s most recognised wine brands. While we don’t stop here, our expert guide will share the rich story behind this historic name. Jacob’s Creek takes its name from the small creek running through the region, named after William Jacob, a surveyor in the 1840s. The first commercial vineyard near the creek was planted in 1847 by Johann Gramp, a Bavarian immigrant whose vision laid the foundation for what would become a global wine powerhouse. Today, Jacob’s Creek represents the evolution of Australian winemaking—where humble beginnings grew into international acclaim. As you pass the estate, gain insight into its history, impact, and how it helped put Barossa on the world wine map. It’s a story of heritage, innovation, and the global spirit of Barossa wine.
Visit Hemera Estate, prepare for a stunning blend of elegance, history, and warmth. Set on a former 19th-century farm, Hemera combines Mediterranean-inspired architecture with a deep connection to the land. Originally established as Ross Estate in the early 2000s, the winery was later renamed Hemera—Greek for “goddess of the day”—to reflect its new vision and passion. Today, Hemera crafts premium wines with a focus on small-batch production and minimal intervention, allowing the true character of the Barossa to shine through. Surrounded by lush vineyards, the cellar door offers a relaxed yet refined tasting experience, featuring bold reds, elegant whites, and exceptional reserve releases.
Next Savour a gourmet lunch and wine pairing of small-batch reds and whites. As the day winds down in the Barossa Valley, we make one final, unforgettable stop. Nestled among the vines, the day leads us to Ubertas Wines, you’ll enjoy a boutique experience with a modern twist. This family-run winery is known for its sustainable, low-intervention winemaking and its warm, down-to-earth hospitality. Overlooking pristine vineyards, their cellar door offers a serene space to enjoy bold Shiraz, vibrant whites, and more—all crafted with care and character. This final tasting is not just about wine—it’s about ending your Barossa journey on a high note, where every sip tells a story.
If you find yourself pulling into the gates of Lambert Estate, consider yourself absolutely lucky, as this premium stop is a true "hidden gem" addition to our journey! Perched in the rolling hills of Angaston, this family-owned estate offers a masterclass in Barossa elegance, featuring a stunning glass-walled tasting room and sophisticated, award-winning wines that capture the soul of the region. Please note that a visit here is strictly subject to availability on the day of your tour and is not a guaranteed stop; instead, it serves as an elite replacement for other locations to ensure your experience is nothing short of world-class. Holly is a gem of a tour guide and took very good care of us. With that being said, the vehicle was packed with the 10 people for the tour. Not very comfortable or spacious at all, which was disappointing for a full day, multi-stop tour. One of the popular stops (Seppeltsfield) did not contain a wine tasting, which was sad. Lastly, everything before lunch felt rushed time-wise. But all in all, there was a variety of wine tasting and other experiences (chocolate factory, hand spa, etc). The wine tastings we had were very enjoyable (I bought 2 bottles on the tour), even saw Kangaroos at one winery.
An awesome day with your guide Holly! Plenty of variety in the day with a visit to a local chocolate factory along the way.
Great variety of stops. Well look after at tastings by winery staff. Bus Driver Holly was fantastic. Disappointed that this tour was for a bus driver and not guided tour. Could have had some more time at some stops.
Holly brought great energy and enthusiasm to the tour. I enjoyed all the stops during the day, especially that it wasn't just wineries.
What a wonderful day. HARRY is entertaining and highly knowledgable. The wineries, especially Chateau Yaldara, were outstanding. Great day
Excellent visits and wine tasting with great lunch.
Best wine tour ever ! Even my 70 YO mother who doesn’t drink enjoys it.
Really good and knowledgeable but also just accommodating and polite
It was a great day We had a lovely driver Amanda who was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The lunch at Keis was lovely It was a fun day.
We had a fantastic day exploring the Barossa Valley with plenty of wine tastings, a delicious lunch, and a variety of interesting stops throughout the day. The small group size (just eight people) made the experience feel relaxed, personal, and much more enjoyable than a large coach tour. Holly was an incredible guide, and her copilot Mike was fantastic as well. They created a friendly and welcoming atmosphere from start to finish. What really stood out was Holly’s knowledge and storytelling. She shared so many interesting stories about the wineries, the region, and its history, which added so much more to the experience than just wine tasting. Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience the best of the Barossa.
