Tour begins visiting the main attractions of the old town such as the Basilica of Saint Nicholas with its precious Crypt, the ancient Cathedral of Saint Sabinus and the millenary Swabian Castle.Tour goes on walking along the authentic narrow streets, where old ladies still make pasta by hand, kids play outdoor and people cook in every corner. Tour ends discovering the modern French part of the city with opera theaters, luxury shopping streets, the famous fish market on the sea-side and the lively squares where a taste of local products is not to be missed. Engaging tour of Bari Vecchia with Chiara!
Alessia did an excellent job as a guide. She also spoke excellent Spanish.
Barbara gave us a valuable introduction to Bari. We appreciated her enthusiasm and vast knowledge of Bari’s historical and cultural significance.
I was really disappointed with this tour. I booked and paid for the 5:00 p.m. English tour, but the day before I received a message saying it would now start at 3:00 p.m. While I understand that schedules can sometimes change, having less than 24 hours' notice meant I had to rearrange my plans for the day. Then, when the tour started, I discovered it was actually a bilingual tour, despite booking and paying for an English-only experience. The guide spoke in Italian first at every stop before repeating everything in English, which made the tour feel slow and less engaging. The guide also never introduced herself, and overall the commentary wasn't very informative. I expected a much more organized and engaging experience from a paid walking tour. I've been on several free walking tours in other cities that were significantly better than this one. Unfortunately, this experience didn't meet my expectations, and I wouldn't recommend it.
