For seventy years in the 1300s, this walled city on the Rhône — not Rome — was the centre of the Catholic world, and Avignon has never stopped acting like it. This app-led scavenger hunt takes you through Avignon on foot, using phone-based riddles to guide you from one landmark to the next. No guide, no fixed start time. • Follow the water wheels through the Quartier des Teinturiers, the old dyers' district • Crack clues beneath the Palais des Papes, the largest Gothic palace in Europe • Inspect the Hôtel de Ville and its clock tower on the Place de l'Horloge Around 2 hours, any group size, available in English, French, and Italian. When the last riddle is solved, the city of the popes will have let you in on secrets most visitors walk right past.

- Suitable for all physical fitness levels
- After booking you receive a text message and a Viator message with your game code. Download the Explorial app from your appstore. Open the app, enter your 6 digit game code
- Technical requirements: You will need a fully charged smartphone and an active mobile data connection
- Recommended attire: It’s best to wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes — approx. 2 hours of light walking

Good, takes you to all the sights plus some interesting locations. FYI at least two of the photo tasks are out of date, making it a little difficult to find things and solve correctly… otherwise would gone out 5 stars.
