**If you are coming from the cruise ship we partner with the city's most trusted private drivers. They provide a private, air-conditioned round trip from the port, including a stop for the best local tacos if you’re hungry on the way back! Let us know so we can arrange this for you. (cost not included) We have hosted thousands of cruise passengers and have a 100% on-time return rate. We coordinate your pickup and return with precision to ensure you are back at the pier with plenty of time to spare before your "All Aboard" call. We will send you a photo and a link of where the taxi will meet you. It is a short walk once you get off the ship. Your driver will meet you one hour before your ride time (e.g., 10:00 AM for an 11:00 AM ride).

This was absolutely fantastic! They were so friendly and helpful. The ride was beautiful and I got a chance to let the horse really take off on the beach. This was by far one of the most memorable parts of the trip we took!!

We had the most amazing experience with Horses by Jose! The horses are clearly well cared for, and everyone at the stable was friendly, welcoming, and professional. Our group included my husband, our three teenage kids, and my mother-in-law, and every single one of us had a fantastic time. The ride along the beach was absolutely incredible—beautiful, exciting, and unforgettable. It was the perfect mix of breathtaking scenery and adventure. If you’re considering a horseback riding experience, I can’t recommend Horses by Jose enough. We made wonderful memories and would absolutely do it again!

Amazing experience. We had 3 adults, an 8 year old, and a 6 year old and we all loved it. Fantastic variety of riding and cruising on the beach was next level. Will 10/10 return the next time we are in Ensenada, all of our family that didn’t come has already been asking which company we rode with. The photos and videos they got of our family were great. The personalities of the people at the company were so fun. Overall an outstanding day of horses and fun.

My adult kids, different skill level, both enjoyed the horseback riding. The more skilled one much more than the other. Said it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Would do again!

Had such an amazing experience riding with Jose! From the moment we got there, everything felt welcoming and fun. One of the coolest parts was having the little doggie lead the way honestly, that made the whole experience unique and super memorable. My horse, Tormenta, had a personality of her own 😂 definitely a mare with some attitude, but that’s what made it even better. It didn’t feel like some boring, guided ride it felt like a real adventure. She kept things interesting the whole time and made the ride way more fun. Jose was awesome, patient, and made sure everyone felt comfortable while still letting us enjoy the ride. Highly recommend this experience if you want something fun, different, and full of personality. Would definitely do it again!

Jose was communicative as the dates got closer and arranged a taxi to pick us up. He told us exactly where to wait with pictures. The taxi ride was just fine with no issues. We got to the ranch and immediately greeted by Jose and his son. We were allowed to use the rest room and then they got us on horses right away and went over the simple commands for the horse. I rode with my 4 year old son and my wife had her own horse. The trail is easy to follow and lets you get the feel of the commands for the horses using the reins. Some ride along a creek then on to the beach. We rode along the shore, getting some trotting in. Got to the end and turned around and went back. The entire time they were taking videos/pictures for us which turned out great and we didn’t have to worry about it. Highly recommend. It was just us three, pretty much a private party.

March 18, 2026 visit with our 2 boys - it was spectacular! Easy pickup right outside the port, beautiful scenic drive with friendly driver. Arrived and were riding within minutes, no waiting or long lines. Alex our guide was just spectacular, even with our boys. Stunning ride to the beach and through a meadow area. This experience topped any excursion. Ice cream for kids and drinks for adults were a perfect ending ❤️. Thank you to all the staff!!

Top notch. Horses By Jose had taxi sent to pick us up at cruise ship, wait for us to ride, then take us back to ship. The two of us had a private ride with Jose and two sons who went with us to make sure everything went well. It was a beautiful ride through a lovely valley and out to the beach, then back again. They communicated promptly as soon as we booked the ride, and answered all questions right away by text. Highly recommend this for anyone visiting Ensenada who wants an awesome riding experience! Taxi was only $80 round trip for two, 45 miles away. Enjoyed see the countryside along the drive too.
