This excursion has been an absolute failure and has thrown away the main reason for our trip to Krakow. We arrived at the meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled time and no one showed up. We waited more than an hour, without a single clear explanation. All because, we were told afterwards, there was a communication failure between the company I booked with and the tour provider. That mistake of yours left us lying. We were only two people, something very easy to relocate, and yet they were not able to give us a real solution. They tried to offer us another ticket for the next day and even they couldn’t manage it. The result: ruined trip and the most important missed visit. We came expressly to be able to go to Auschwitz and, because of this bad organization, we have not been able to do so. I do not intend to recommend this excursion to anyone. If you depend on them, you run the very real risk of being stood up just like us. There was no professionalism or responsibility here.
What a moving experience-We were shown pretty much everything there was to see and there were some very graphic artefacts which are quite shocking, especially when our guide explained what was going on behind them. We were able to enter many of the buildings, the crematoria that were left and at Birkenau the barracks. Our guide was fantastic by the way and very knowledgable, she literally didn’t stop talking.- So informative! You need to keep up with your group or you can easily get lost amongst other tours, but the headsets they provide you with allow you to hear your guide clearly even when you can’t always see them. Everybody should see Auschwitz and Birkenau- it’s a very real, stark and haunting reminder of recent history. If we don’t learn the lessons, it could so easily be repeated.
Dear Madam, Thank you for your opinion. We are glad that your tour to the Auschwitz-Birkenau museum was a valuable and educational experience for you. We hope to see you in the future! Best regards, Joanna Poland Active
From start to finish this tour was very well organized. This is the second time we’ve done this tour with the same company. It was even better this time. Michal who took us to Auschwitz kept us well informed of timings. Our guide around both sites was incredibly knowledgeable. I learnt even more this time.

Two years ago I visited the Dachau and Sachsenhausen concentration camps in Nazi Germany, and was impressed by the outstanding guide. But I was very disappointed with my guide at the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp in Poland in September 2021. She was a native of Osviecim, the Polish city where the camp is located. She was so soft-spoken that it was difficult to hear her at Birkenau, where there was no audio recording. She recited the correct facts at each stop on the tour, but showed little emotion about the extermination of 1.1 million people there. She also did not appreciate anyone asking her questions, it appeared as if she was there for a pay check and nothing else. There should be better screening of applicants for guide positions. Viator and your local partner should pay more attention to which guide works with the people on your tours.
Dear Andrea, Thank you for your opinion. We are grateful for telling us about your feelings during the visiting of Auschwitz Birkenau Museum. Unfortunately, our company, as a travel agency, has no influence on the choice of guides who are assigned to each tour by the museum. However, we will try to intervene as far as we can. We hope you will decide to visit the museum again. Best regards, Joanna Poland Active
Perfectly organised tour. Pick up on time with a friendly driver and comfortable transport. The tour guide was fantastic. Highly recommend. Communication prior with the tour agency was responsive and helpful. Highly recommended agency/tour.

We’re collected from hotel on time and transferred to Auschwitz in a small minibus. Very good tour of Auschwitz- lots to see and guide was very informative. Very moving. Could perhaps have spent slightly longer but we were guided through all the main areas. Went onto the second site of Auschwitz-Birkenau. Unfortunately weather was appalling so tour here was shorter also a bit difficult to hear the guide properly. It was definitely rushed which is a real shame as the scale of the place is hard to believe.
Dear Jane, Thank you for your opinion. We invite you to use our service in the future. Best regards, Joanna Poland Adamczyk
