Auschwitz Birkenau: Live-Guided Tour with Transportation and Hotel Pickup

Description
Visit the largest former Nazi concentration camp on a 7-hour tour from Krakow. Learn more about the Nazi program of "Abreit Macht Frei" and the genocide of World War II. Explore the gas chambers and barracks with a licensed English speaking guide from Auschwitz Birkenau State Museum. The live guide is in English. Other language options available only with the guide book. On certain days, due to the high number of bookings, especially those made at the last minute, I reserve the right to substitute a English speaking guide from the Auschwitz Birkenau Museum with a guide in another available language. As a partial compensation, we will purchase English guide books and lunchboxes for you on that day. The official regulations of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum do not specify an age restriction; however, given the scale of the atrocities that took place at the camp, we do not recommend visits for children under the age of 14.

Pickup Locations & Times
We will pick you up from any address in Kraków. Mostly we use 8 pax minivans. On certain days, we reserve the right to replace the minivan with a larger car and to arrange a meeting point instead of a hotel pick-up. This is due to the high volume of bookings, the number of our cars is limited, at the same time we want to ensure that everyone can book. Pick up time is possible between 6:00 AM-1:30 PM. Your preferred time is not guaranteed. You will be informed by WhatsApp/email or text message about the exact time a day before the tour. Very Important : Due to the growing interest in reservations at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, we would like to encourage you to make your reservations as early as possible. This is in order to 100 % guarantee a visit at a convenient time with an English-speaking guide. To do so, we need your names and surnames at least one month before the visit. Bookings made less than month are already routed as last minute. PLESE NOTE; We ask for your understanding, these regulations are not our ideas. They are the regulations of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum to which we must to adapt.

Please be aware Comfort Tours Cracow may switch your tour tickets last minute with guide speaking another language. While we booked and paid for hotel pickup with English guided tour we were provided tickets for Polish tour when we arrived! We were informed the evening before it was possible an alternative language tour may be provided if no english tickets were available but by this time it was too late to do anything. After speaking to others in group who had same experience apparently this is not uncommon because tour companies are only middleman who provides transportation and buys ticket day before and marks up cost. Comfort Tours Cracow is not transparent about this. Neither was HeadOut - though all the resellers like Viator and Get Your Guide use same practice. You would be better off buying ticket directly from Auscwitz museum and arranging private transportation or taking train.
Dear Tom, Of course, I understand your disappointment. In your case, the ticket with a Polish-speaking guide was intended solely to grant you access to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum grounds. We do not expect you to participate in a tour conducted in Polish. However, in a situation where there was no other option, we wanted to ensure that you could enter the Museum grounds. Our driver explained the problem to you. Certain dates are extremely popular, and securing an English-speaking guide for those dates requires booking as much as three months in advance.
Courteous personell who arrived spot on time to pick us up. Mikolay was even very helpful in arranging a lunch for us. Thank you! In all, a great experience
Our driver arrived promptly and messaged us stating when and where he would be. He was very polite and caring (he assisted me in and out of the vehicle!!!) He was very patient; for example when my wife lost her hat whilst taking off her earphones and went to enquire about it he kindly waited for her to return. He stopped on the way back to Krakow for passengers to have a 'comfort break' which was considerate and I thought his driving was exemplary.
Our driver, Olek, was very professional and courteous! Before the tour he communicated with us to ensure everything went smoothly! We were able to pre-order lunch boxes so we were well nourished! Having a guide ensures a very informative experience at Auschwitz and Birkenau! A very moving experience indeed!
Everything went great and was handled well with our driver Olek. :)
Impressive tour, everything was well arranged. Very nice to do this tour in a small group, where the explanation and overall communication was very clear and fine. A very nice guide and good and friendly driver. It is a must see destination, and a highly recommended activity!
We booked quite, but were taken care of very well. Pick up on time and a comfortable ride to Auschwitz. Very impressive sights and good guide as well.
Well organized tour with hotel pick-up and transport between sites.
Booked this tour in February for June 1st 2026, while out in krakow we received a message at 15:42, the day before our tour, a tour that myself, my wife and my 2 kids have been looking forward to since we booked it, saying that no tickets were available. We was offered an alternative tour, but how it was sold to us was that we would still see alot but just not into the main area of both camps. As it was late notice we had nothing else booked for that day, so as we had made the trip over to poland we thought we may aswell see something, I didn't realise the something was a 5 minute picture opportunity at the perimeter fence at both camps. Auschwitz has a concrete wall surrounding it and Birkenau made us feel in a sense cheap. Even though if you manage to get your tickets through the museum they are FREE. We was also on the tour with 3 elderly Italian people, we had no opportunity to stop off for refreshments or to eat, and these poor people had bought nothing with them. To say we was devastated is an understatement. We booked through viator which lead us to this terrible scamming operator. So beware if comfort tours cracow turns up on a booking site or you are passed onto them avoid at all costs. You have been warned.
Brilliant day and something I think everybody should do. We booked through our hotel and we were picked up by Olek from outside our hotel. Everything went smooth and was timed to perfection, Olek kept us up to date the day before with times etc and even offered a lunch bag. Can’t fault the service PERFECT!!! Thanks
