Standing sentinel across the Waitemata Harbour, the Auckland Harbour Bridge is a crucial piece of infrastructure. Harbour bridge is the only bridge which connects the metropolis of the central business district to the North Shore and beyond to Northland.
North Head, also known by its Māori name Maungauika, is a historic volcanic cone located in Devonport at the entrance to Auckland’s Waitematā Harbour. Formed around 50,000 years ago, it offers spectacular panoramic views of Auckland City, Rangitoto Island, and the Hauraki Gulf. In the late 19th century, it became a key coastal defense fortress, and visitors today can explore military tunnels, gun emplacements, and disappearing guns. North Head combines natural beauty, Māori heritage, and fascinating military history in one unforgettable site.
Mount Eden is the highest volcano among Auckland's 52 volcanos. It is 196m tall. From the summit, you can enjoy spectacular views of the city and its Harbours.
The Winter Garden at Auckland Domain is a historic greenhouse complex featuring tropical and temperate plants, a stunning fernery, and elegant glasshouses. Built in the early 20th century, it’s a popular spot for visitors to enjoy rare flowers, seasonal displays, and a peaceful atmosphere.
Holy Trinity Cathedral is the world’s only architectural example of a Pacific-Gothic cathedral. You can feel a sense of grandeur and beauty at once. Also You can see St. Mary Church which is made almost exclusively from heart Kauri, a New Zealand native timber, and is one of the few timber churches in the world built in the Gothic style. On afternoon tour We are going to Winter Garden instead of Holy Trinity Cathedral due to closing time

Great communication from tour provider arriving at meeting point as promised. My partner is wheelchair bound but this presented no problem on this tour with our guide Israel eager to assist. This is a great half day tour and recommend to give you a chance to see around outside of the city.

We can highly recommend this tour with our guide Israel. It covered nearly total Auckland and gave us a good overview over the city. Israel gave us excellent information and brought us to many sites. of interest. Would be happy to do another tour with him when we have chance to come back to Auckland. By the way - he took amazing photos of us during the tour - we will have the best memories!

Tour guide had great communication via what’s app, and accommodating , pick us up at cruise pier We did stopped at all the major landmarks and were provided with history . Mount Eden Winter gardens North head ( Devonport) Marina Auckland harbour Bridge We were lucky to have great weather after arriving with rain . I was also interested in the gannet colony and nature. So Israel did agree to take us to Murawai , black sand beach after the tour, and stayed about an Hr. We did make it back to our ship with plenty of time to spare .

The worst tour guide. If you state you speak English it should be understandable English. We couldn't understand a word she was saying and she couldn't understand us. She used a prerecorded tape to explain where we were going next. We could at least understand that. Really didn't k ow where she was going. The worst tour of the trip.

We take your feedback regarding the guide's English communication, reliance on recordings, and lack of direction very seriously. This falls far below our standard of service. We are immediately scheduling mandatory communication training and route re-education for our guiding staff to ensure this never happens again. We deeply regret that this was the worst tour of your trip and will strictly use your feedback to improve our quality.
We had a very pleasant 3.5+ tour with Jun on a beautiful Auckland day. He took us to historical and culturally significant sites. We enjoyed great views of the city and harbor and a short but lovely walk through the botanical gardens. He also took photos of us in several locations which was a bonus. My one minor complaint was not knowing in advance that the short walks we took involved a couple of steep areas. Due to a bad knee, I would have brought a trekking pole for support if I had known.

Isreal was and outstanding tour guide. We traveled all round Auckland and he pointed out points of interest along with a scenic overlook of Auckland. Very knowledgeable with facts and historical significance. Love using Viatoe. Have never had a bad tour with them.
