Maungawhau / Mt Eden is one of Auckland’s most visited maunga (mountain) with over one million visitors each year. Many walkways lead to the tihi (summit) and spectacular views over the city and Waitematā Harbour. Some tracks are stony and steep. Be sure to stick to formed paths.
A scenic drive through the Auckland Domain with the Auckland Museum in the background with hardy trees and water works includes a visit to The famous Winter Gardens.
A brief stopover at Bastion point which is rich in Māori history with a picturesque garden and views across the harbour and Rangitoto Island
A drive through the picturesque bay taking in the Mission bay beach where you can take a walk at the beach or enjoy your favourite beverage at a local cafe.
A drive through Parnell village with a stopover at Parnell rose gardens
You will be driven through Auckland Downtown to The west Haven marina with its Yachts and sailboats to the Auckland Harbour Bridge
A brief stopover at Shoal Bay that has amazing views of Downtown Auckland
Devonport is a relaxed bayside village with upscale cafes and seafood restaurants and as well as classic kiwi pubs and fish & chips shops. The volcanic cone of North head has spectacular views of Rangitoto Island on one side and Auckland city on the other. You can explore the village and try kiwi style fish & chips or the famous homemade Devonport chocolates with a walk around North head. Food & Drinks costs extras.
Your tour will continue with brief stopover at Archilles point, for spectacular views of downtown Auckland, Waiheke and Rangitoto Islands.

One of the best private tours that we have had, our tour guide kept us informed from the time of booking and the pick up from our hotel was as advertised and on time. The all electric Vehicle was very comfortable and quiet. Mount Eden Summit gave us a Panoramic view of Auckland City, this tour included all the places the locals visit, the Bay Area with its beaches and the quaint town of Devonport, each attraction was simply beautiful.

The owner/tour guide gave us a comprehensive tour of the city of Auckland and surrounding area. He was very thoughtful in arranging direct access to the highest sights in the city so our time was dedicated to more than just hiking up steep hills. He was very knowledgeable of the history, architecture, and economic diversity of this fabulous city and very articulate. We saw and learned a lot while having fun.

Kris has an in-depth knowledge of local attractions with its local history, a great narrator and a very professional driver and guide. The onboard amenities and the added extras, such as local snacks and high speed WIFI comes in handy in uploading our pictures. Highly recommend Black car Transfers.
