Good choice for easy transportation to the center of Athens. The guide was clear and helpful. I was disappointed the tour did not include a guide for the Acropolis, and the audio option page didn’t work well:
This was a well organised tour and plenty time to visit the Acropolis but not so much time in Plakis area. The only downside was the traffic to get there very busy, I feel starting this tour earlier in the morning would be better
We loved the tour. They offer what they promise. The guide was very punctual and very attentive. We had a great time. Since we like to go independently, the fact that we were not accompanied by the guide during the visit to the Acropolis did not bother us.
5 fantastic hours with our brilliant guide Georgios, wonderful sights in Athens with really helpful & interesting info along the way... highly recommend 👍🏼
Although this tour gave us plenty of time at the Acropolis (almost 3 hours) it was a bit disorganized at the beginning. Our bus was delayed at the cruise port while they transferred some French and Italian speakers to our English tour. Not sure why this happened, but it delayed us so the visit to the sights in town (changing of the guard and Olympic Stadium both felt rushed. Because of the delay, we completely missed the changing of the guard ceremony that we would have seen had they not held us up while they transferred non-English speakers to our English tour. These passengers were also confused and talking loudly in other languages while the tour leader was telling us about what we were seeing. Definitely was a little distracting. Dido was a great guide though and tried her best to keep things moving. Overall, the highlight of this tour is the time at the Acropolis, but it could have been so much better if they had just left on time. My recommendation to Viator and the provider is to plan better to depart on time and stick to passengers who speak the language of the tour.
It goes by quickly, the guide was very nice speaking in several languages and making sure everything was fine.
Spent over 2 hours driving around Athens and making a couple of unremarkable stops…finally made it to the acropolis and our guide just pointed us where to go and said meet back at the bus in 3 hrs. We had no clue what we were looking at and were given zero information about it on the bus! We wandered around aimlessly in the heat and eventually made our way down to try to find lunch (after getting lost) in the tourist trap area of Plaka. Many tourist groups had guides with them or at the very least audio guides, which we did not. It felt like a lot of fluff and then the big finale was anticlimactic. Find an actual “guided acropolis tour”!!
Friendly guide and very effective in organizing everything A lot of traffic, somewhat overwhelming on the way to central Athens, and very little time to see everything Audio guides do not work well It would be worth increasing the time and estimating pickup at 09:00 or 09:30
This was a great way to get to see sites in Athens. Traffic dictates the time you reach your destination. I would recommend getting to the Acropolis in the morning when it is cooler. We arrived at 1230 and it was hot!
Great experience, George was a great guide. There were a few hiccups (no fault of the tour organisers) that were dealt with smoothly and professionally.
