Choose Chocolate

Charming little bakery with a chocolate making operation attached. The lesson was fun and the resulting chocolate bars we made in the Intro class were amazing.

This is not a class nor a tasting but a lecture on chocolate sourcing.

This was not a class but a lecture. We poured warm chocolate into molds and added dried fruits or nuts. the tasting consisted of two chocolate chips. it was a complete disappointment. I requested a refund, but to no avail. this is false advertising in my opinion.

Very informative hostess. We made chocolate bars in a lovely cafe using the traditional manual method with Peruvian sourced chocolate.

We enjoyed the experience. The teacher was well informed, friendly and engaging. We were, however, expecting more out of the chocolate “making”. We poured melted chocolate into a mold and added some fruit and nuts. While the chocolate bar was hardening, we learned about chocolate, how it grows and is manufactured. Based on the photos, we were under the impression we would be tempering, rolling and decorating chocolates. This was an expensive chocolate bar.
