Archery Session Inside & Outside
Description
All sessions start with traditional target archery, during this you'll have a go at a number of different challenges. If the weather is good we will then have a go at Aerial Archery, it's like clay pigeon shooting with a bow and arrow. We are the only venue in Wales currently offering Aerial Archery. The target archery can be run inside or outside so the weather doesn't affect the enjoyment of your session.

Our group were all novices with no knowledge of archery. John welcomed us warmly and proceeded to clearly outline the steps of shooting, whilst demonstrating the key elements of the sport. He also shared his knowledge by weaving in some of the principles that underlie the process and informing us of some interesting historical facts of how bows and arrows have been used throughout history and in current times. Then we had a go. It was great fun. John guided us and helped us to understand how to be more accurate. He set up extra challenges, shooting at balloons, and created competitions so we were inspired to do our best. We met his beautiful dog and left with big smiles.
Amazing experience and Jon was really friendly and a great teacher. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back next time we are in the area
The archery was fun, Jon is a great patient instructor. Enjoyed this activity from the normal tourist things to do, was a great break in my day.
We had a mixed session of archery and axe throwing and thoroughly enjoyed it all. The teens enjoyed the archery especially - with the varied activities on offer. Jon was patient, very knowledgeable and explained every activity thoroughly. A great way to spend a morning/afternoon. Highly recommend this - it creates competition both against your fellow group members and yourself. Loved it!

Really enjoyed the hour we spend with the instructor. He was very friendly, polite and informative as he clearly knew his stuff on archery. Giving great advice on how to start up the hobby. We would highly recommend this activity if you’re visiting the area, it’s was the highlight of our trip
Had a great, entertaining and very enjoyable archery sessions with Jon. It was just my husband and I and we had plenty of time to feel we’d really learned something. The small competition at the end was also great fun, and the fact that the session was in a large barn made it a great activity for all weathers - very helpful in February. Would definitely recommend.
Jon was really friendly and insightful. Worked well as a group of four of us. Loved the sport. Could have kept going for hours!
Jon provided an enlightening session for my wife and me. It was remarkable how much progress we made in only an hour. He knows his business and is very professional. I was a bit late in fully recognizing how much accuracy is compromised by pulling the bowstring back too hard, so my wife edged me out by just a bit ... at least, that's my excuse. The facility was indoors, so wind and weather aren't negative factors. Equipment was impressive. Directions were easy to follow, and there was plenty of parking. We would highly recommend this as a hands-on experience and a nice change from your typical tourist excursions, museums and landscapes.
Highly recommended. Jon was very friendly and informative. There were 6 in our group (Including teenagers) all enjoyed our time. It’s a pity we didn’t have this sport near us. Thanks Jon.
