It gave us a very good overview of both cities (Antwerp and Ghent), including their history, geography, main characteristics, as well as their economic and cultural activities.

Your is BOTH Spanish and English language

The tour guide very nice and worded really hard. My issue is with the Viator advertisement which was for an English tour, however, it was both English and Spanish so the guide translated everything twice which took away from the experience. No time for questions as we went alone because he had to translate twice. He would ask if we had questions at the end but then we already pasted things, so no in the moment opportunity. I felt like we couldn't interrupt him because he had to translate twice. Also, he was from Latin American and clearly Spanish was his native language which he was more comfortable in. Again, my issue is that you should just be clear in the advertisement everywhere in the description so it's clear that it's both Spanish and English, best to be transparent with the customer ahead of booking. Thank you.

Two towns in a day

There seems to be only one bus company in Belgium or Brussels. There is a practice of combining tours vs using a smaller bus. Our English tour was combined with a Spanish tour on the same bus. All information on the bus was repeated in different languages. The group was so big that we got a double deck bus which o have never had before. Our English guide was good that he talked quite a bit on the bus so when walking in town, we did not have to stand for too long at each site. The down side was we were just walking and pointed with what to see and we had to spend time at the end to go back to the interesting sites to visit. We did not have a lot of own time in these 2 towns so it is a matter of choice to go back to see what. It was tight schedule visiting 2 towns. The gathering points were not too far from the core places. All in all, the 2 towns are worth visiting. How you want to approach needs some thoughts if you want more time vs a quick glance through if press on time.

Like other reviews, the...

Like other reviews, the English was small, but we were grouped with the Spanish group for the journey. The guide for the other group was very loud and took up most of the commentary! Very long day but balanced between guided and free time.

Operator response

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback — we really appreciate it! We're sorry to hear that being grouped with the Spanish tour affected your experience. We understand how frustrating it can be when the commentary isn't fully accessible, and we will make sure to address this with our team. We're pleased to know you enjoyed the balance between guided and free time, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for an even better experience! Warm regards,

Great way to see two beautiful Belgium cities!

A full day of touring but with a nice amount of free time. Angie is an excellent guide. She provided outstanding tours of Antwerp and Ghent! Met some nice people and had a wonderful experience!

A boring trip

This is a combined tour with both Spanish and English groups. On the bus the Spanish tour guide would speak first for about 20 minutes, then the English tour guide for about 10-15 minutes. When arrived at each of the cities, the group would split and go on their own. What I don’t like is that we would walk through some areas, then stop and the tour guide would talk about 20-30 minutes about the major attractions in that area. Overall, it is not an enjoyable trip.

Operator response

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear the experience did not fully meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that once in the cities, each language group goes with their own dedicated guide — the English group with the English guide and the Spanish group with the Spanish guide. The bilingual commentary on the bus is simply to keep all guests informed during the journey, and this is clearly stated in the product description. Regarding the walking, both Antwerp and Ghent have protected historic city centres, which means coaches are not permitted to enter. The stops along the way are a great opportunity for our guides to share the history and architecture of these beautiful cities, which is a core part of the experience. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again in the future. The Buendía Travel Team

Disorganized, inaccessible, and poorly guided – do not recommend.

Disorganized, inaccessible, and poorly guided – do not recommend. This tour was highly disappointing, poorly executed, and completely lacked basic empathy. If you want a meaningful experience, save your money, do your own research, and go solo. First, there were zero accessibility warnings. Nowhere in the documentation was it mentioned that Ghent required a mandatory 1-mile (1.61 km) walk each way just to reach the city center, which was exhausting and distressing for my 89-year-old father. To make matters worse, the itinerary was poorly timed; we were taken to the Atomium before it was even open, making the stop feel like a total waste of time. Customer care was abysmal. When my elderly father became separated from the group at the Atomium, our English guide, George, showed absolutely no empathy or concern for passenger safety, failing to even offer a basic apology. Finally, English speakers are shortchanged. The tour was heavily biased, with 75% of the narration delivered in Spanish. As someone fluent in Spanish, I can confirm that George only translated about 25% of the actual content. His heavy accent made him incredibly difficult to understand; his commentary was completely flat and lacking substance, and he never bothered to point out which landmarks we were actually looking at from our provided list. You are paying full price for a fraction of the information and no consideration for physical limitations. Skip this tour. Disorganized, inaccessible, and poorly guided: I do not recommend it. Operator response

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations and that parts of the tour were distressing for you and your family member. This is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide. We take your comments regarding accessibility, timing, communication, and guiding quality very seriously. Your observations will be reviewed carefully with our operations team to ensure clearer pre-tour information, better coordination on site, and improved balance in language delivery during multilingual tours. We are especially concerned about the situation involving your father and will investigate this internally. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us identify areas where we must do better.

Antwerp and Ghent day trip from Burssels

Both places are beautiful, and they are sure worth visiting. These two places are quite far from Brussels, and there is a lot of walking involved. Ghent needs at least one full day to appreciate its true beauty. When we got to the city center, the tour guide did not make a stop at the bathroom as per your itinerary. At around noon, we finished the Antwerp tour at Green Square; The tour guide did not take us to the sculpture of the giant hand, which was on the itinerary. When I asked, the tour guide said it is on Meir Avenue; you could go there yourself. The worst was that at the end of the tour, we had to walk (fast) about 20 minutes to get back to the bus parking lot on a very hot day (32 degrees Celsius), and there were so many bicycles on the road. Please let your customers know that there is at least a 20-minute fast walk to the parking lot on this tour. I saw people struggling to walk back.

Operator response

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you found both Antwerp and Ghent beautiful, as they truly are remarkable destinations. We are very sorry, however, that several aspects of the tour did not meet your expectations, particularly regarding itinerary execution, communication about stops, and the walking distance back to the coach. Your comments about the missed points of interest, restroom stop, and lack of clear guidance are taken very seriously. We also understand your concern about the walking conditions in hot weather, and we will review how this information is communicated more clearly to future guests. Your feedback will be shared with our operations team to help improve planning, clarity of itineraries, and on-tour guest communication. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope we can offer a smoother experience in the future.

Viator did not operate...

Viator did not operate this tour. It was conducted by a company whose name began with a B. It was not up to the standards that I have seen on tours operated by Viator. In the future I will seek out more reputable tour operators such as GET YOUR GUIDE.

Operator response

Dear Customer, Thank you for sharing your feedback, though we would like to clear up a quick misunderstanding. Both Viator and GetYourGuide are online booking platforms (marketplaces), not tour operators. The local company that actually conducted your tour was Buendía Tours, a leading operator with an excellent reputation in the industry. We are very sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations this time. We take our travelers' feedback seriously, and we have already shared your comments with our quality team to review what went wrong and ensure we maintain the high standards we are known for. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future to show you the true quality standard of Buendía Tours. Sincerely, The Buendía Tours Team
