Everything was excellent, the best experience. They treat you the best and dedicate their full time and attention so you can have the best time. They also serve as great photographers. And the information they give in the tour is excellent.
We booked a 1 day tour of Angkor Wat and surrounding temples as a group of 5 friends in Feb 26. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Thanut when visiting Siam Reap - it was a 5 star experience from start to finish ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thanut was so easy to organise the day with over WhatsApp and was very quick to answer any questions we had! The day itself was superb, getting to understand and learn more about Angkor Wat, see many of it's main sites via convenient and well planned route through the area and even capture some amazing photos as memories to take home with us! Thanut thought of everything to make the day special including local delicacies to try, water to keep hydrated and even taking us to a recommended coffee spot at the end of the trip! I am so pleased we stumbled across other reviews to find Thanut and would 100% recommend anyone thinking of visiting Angkor Wat to do the same!
Dear Kiah C, Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for recommending my service. I’m really happy to hear that you and your group had such a memorable day exploring Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples. It was a pleasure organizing the tour with you, and I’m glad that everything—from the itinerary and photos to the local treats and coffee stop—helped make your visit special. Your kind words truly mean a lot to me. Thank you again for your trust and for choosing me to be part of your Siem Reap experience. I hope to welcome you and your friends back again in the future! Warm regards, Thanut
Very knowledgeable and friendly guides that went above and beyond throughout the whole day. Couldn’t give a higher recommendation.

Thanut made our experience in Siem Reap so much better than it would have been otherwise. He is incredibly knowledgeable and very flexible about the timing and activities you’d like to do. We were able to get much deeper insight into Cambodian daily life and culture when he took us to his village and let us sample local products made by those around him. I would highly recommend Thanut to anyone I know interested in traveling to Siem Reap.
Dear Grace B, Thank you so much for your thoughtful and generous review! We’re truly delighted to hear that your time in **Siem Reap** was made even more special through your experience with Thanut. Providing flexibility, meaningful insights, and authentic local connections is exactly what we strive for. Taking guests beyond the temples and into village life is something very close to Thanut’s heart. Sharing local products, meeting community members, and offering a genuine glimpse into Cambodian daily life is what makes each journey unique and personal. We’re so happy this deeper cultural experience resonated with you. Your recommendation means more to us than we can say. Thank you again for your trust and kind words — we would be honored to welcome you back anytime! Best Regards Thanuttours
It feels like a cut and paste of what others have said before but Thanut and Voleak (Handsome) made our stay in Siem Real a truly memorable one. Thanut really made sure that the temple visits were adapted to a group of two families with children of varying ages. Visiting the temples with children during a hot a sweaty October is never an easy one but there were never complaints, which only shows how well they adapted the tour to our pace and also kept everyone interested by their explanations of the histories and stories related to each people. Thanut is a really calm and knowledgeable person of the area and with the guide for out tour, Voleak, a really pleasant partnership to make each day pass almost too quickly. All the days were super well organised and even though for some of us it was a second time visiting Angkor Wat the easy going nature and super interesting explanations of the site made it just as fascinating. I can only recommend Thanut if you visit Siem Reap
Dear Dominic B, Thank you so much for your thoughtful words — it truly means a lot. Even if it may sound like others before you, I never take reviews like this for granted. I’m so happy that your time in Siem Reap was such a memorable one for both families. Visiting the temples in October heat with children of different ages is definitely a challenge, so hearing there were no complaints is probably the best compliment we could receive! 😊 Adapting the pace, finding shady spots, planning good breaks, and sharing the stories in a way that keeps both adults and kids interested is always our goal. I’m especially glad that even those visiting Angkor Wat for the second time still found it fascinating — that means a lot. Voleak will be very happy to hear your kind words too. We truly enjoy working together to create easy-going, well-organized days that feel smooth and enjoyable rather than rushed. Thank you again for your recommendation. It was a pleasure spending those days with you all, and you’ll always be warmly welcomed back to Siem Reap! Best Regards Thanuttours
Fantastic experience with Thanut and his team! Thanut is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and passionate about what he does. The best thing about our visit to Siem Reap with Thanut was the flexibility he gave us. If we saw a spot we wanted to stop and visit, he'd detour and show us. Or he'd think of something that might interest us and work it into our schedule, such as the visit to the local palm fruit bakery where he bought us some delicious cakes. It was more like being on a road trip with a friend than like being on a tour. The worst thing about booking with Thanut was that it was too short 😂. Seriously, if you're visiting Siem Reap and want to have a knowledgeable, thoughtful guide to show you around, contact Thanut through WhatsApp, +855 69 596 585 Five stars, highly recommended!
Dear David R, Thank you so much for this amazing review — it truly means a lot! I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed the flexibility of the trip. For me, that’s one of the most important parts of traveling — being able to stop when something catches your eye, take small detours, and discover unexpected places like the palm fruit bakery (I’m glad you liked the cakes! 😊). Those little spontaneous moments often become the most memorable ones. Hearing that it felt more like a road trip with a friend than a formal tour is probably the best compliment I could receive. That’s exactly the experience I hope to create — relaxed, personal, and genuine. And yes… the only bad part being that it was too short is something I hear often! 😂 That just means you’ll have to come back so we can explore even more of Cambodia together. Thank you again for your kind words, your trust, and the five stars. I truly hope to see you again in Siem Reap! Best Wishes Thanuttours
We had a great tour with Thanut and Handsome. They took us to four great temples - and also to a traditional Cambodian village where we enjoyed some amazing local snacks and saw how they were made. The temples are incredible, it's so amazing to see the craftsmanship from so long ago. There were monkeys too! The car was comfortable and they kept us well supplied with water. Really recommend his services.
Dear Sue M, Thank you so much for your kind recommendation! I’m delighted to hear that you had a great tour with Handsome and me. Exploring the beautiful temples and visiting a traditional Cambodian village truly brings a unique perspective on the culture and craftsmanship of our history. I’m glad you enjoyed the local snacks and even encountered some monkeys along the way! It’s good to know that you found the car comfortable and that we kept you hydrated throughout the tour. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we appreciate your support! Should you ever decide to visit again, I would love the opportunity to create more unforgettable experiences for you. Safe travels and all the best! Thank you Best wishes Thanut Kean
Voleak was fantastic! He brought the history and wonder of Angkor Wat to life for our two families, including four kids aged 7 and 9. Even in the heat, he kept things fun and engaging—with great stories, creative photo ideas, and just the right pace to keep both kids and adults happy. Highly recommend! And a big thanks to Thanut, who organized everything seamlessly over WhatsApp and was always just a message away.
Dear Rikin G, Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! I'm thrilled to hear that Voleak was able to bring the history and magic of Angkor Wat to life for your families, especially the kids. Keeping the experience fun and engaging, even in the heat, is always a priority, and it's great to hear that he struck the right balance with stories and creative photo ideas. I also appreciate your kind words about the organization process. It's always my goal to ensure a seamless experience for our guests, and I'm glad that communication over WhatsApp made everything easy for you. Thank you for highly recommending us! Should you ever plan another visit, I would love the opportunity to create more memorable experiences for you and your families. Safe travels and hope to see you again soon! Thank you Best regards Thanut Kean
When I began planning our four-day vacation to Siem Reap, I also began researching tour guides. When you’ve gone to as much trouble as it takes to get to Cambodia, you don’t want to miss any highlights, and you probably could use some help navigating the culture. You need Thanut. I asked Thanut to plan a four-day itinerary that would give us time to relax and enjoy our resort but also allow us to see the most important sites in and around Siem Reap. Of course, we wanted to see the Angkor Wat temple complex. But we told him that we favored local, authentic experiences over cookie cutter, tourist excursions. He delivered. Day One: We arrived in Siem Reap in the afternoon. Thanut picked us up at our hotel and took us on a food tour in the early evening. We went to three restaurants, one street food vendor, and a bar. At each restaurant Thanut ordered dishes we probably would never have ordered on our own and explained what made them characteristically Cambodian. He was a charming dinner companion, and I could tell we were going to have a great vacation. Day Two: Thanut arranged for a temple licensed guide to pick us up at our hotel at 4:30 am and set us up for a sunrise viewing. The guide, Mr. Lucky, was great. We were with him from 4:30 to 1:30 and enjoyed every minute. He also took some wonderful pictures of us posing at the beautiful temples. He had cold water, ice cold towels, and snacks on board the tuck tuck. And he took us to one rest stop where we ate the picnic breakfast our hotel had packed and later to a different rest stop for a snack. I worried that one day of temple touring would not be enough. But Thanut assured me that it would be plenty, and he was right. Day Three: Thanut picked us up at our hotel at 8:00 am and we spent the morning touring the Cambodian countryside with him. This turned out to be a highlight of our trip. We went to three working farms, met the owners, and saw how they supported their families through hard work and dedication. We especially enjoyed the mushroom farm. Thanut took us to a village market where we met his wife and mother-in-law at her store. It was a Buddhist Holy Day, so we drove into a temple yard and saw some ceremonies in action, including a monk pouring buckets full of water over the head of a worshiper. Through an open door we saw white robed monks and nuns chanting. Thanut was very respectful and we never got out of the tuck tuck or took photographs, but it felt like we were seeing something truly authentic. We finished the day with a light lunch at a picturesque restaurant adjoining a huge and beautiful lotus field before heading back to town. Day Four: Thanut arranged for us to attend a cooking class. We have taken cooking classes all over the world, and we thought Savuth’s class was one of the most authentic and enjoyable classes we have ever attended. Savuth picked us up at our hotel at 4:30 and took us to a local market before bringing us to his outdoor kitchen in the countryside. Thanut joined us there for a three-course feast that we (mostly) made ourselves. We got home about 8:30, satisfied and sleepy. It was a great way to conclude our Siem Reap vacation. We live in Phnom Penh and will be there for at least the next three years. This won’t be our last trip to Siem Reap. There is still more to see and do there. And we are hoping our friends and family will come visit us in Cambodia. One thing is for sure, we will ask Thanut to guide our visits every time we go to Siem Reap. He is absolutely the best.
Dear DSC, Thank you for your incredibly detailed and thoughtful recommendation! I'm thrilled to hear that your four-day vacation in Siem Reap was such a memorable experience, and I appreciate you sharing the highlights of your journey. It was a pleasure to plan an itinerary that balanced relaxation with authentic local experiences, allowing you to truly immerse yourselves in Cambodian culture. I’m glad you enjoyed the food tour and were able to discover dishes that might have been overlooked otherwise. It’s heartwarming to hear that Mr. Lucky and I could provide a comfortable and enriching experience during your temple visits and countryside explorations. Meeting local families and participating in the Buddhist ceremonies must have been quite touching, and I’m glad you felt the authenticity of those moments. It’s wonderful to know that the cooking class with Savuth exceeded your expectations as well. He is truly passionate about sharing Cambodian cuisine and culture. Thank you again for your kind words and trust in me and my team. I look forward to welcoming you back for more unforgettable experiences in the future! Safe travels, and I hope to see you again soon! Thank you Best regards Thanut Kean
