Our trip to Albufera was a truly wonderful experience. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, especially at sunset when the colors across the lagoon created such a special atmosphere. The boat ride on the lake was peaceful and relaxing, giving us a lovely view of the surrounding nature. It was the perfect way to experience a quieter side of Valencia.
Lucas was the perfect guide! He was very knowledgeable, took us to incredible places per our preferences, spoke both English and Spanish perfectly, and was extremely kind and caring when our mother fell ill. He drove her all the way home without a complaint and came back for us after our boat ride to continue our tour seemlessly. We HIGHLY recommend Lucas as a friendly and fun guide who exceeded our expectations.
Very beautiful and interesting tour away from the crowds. We were able to visit places that we as city tourists probably would not have seen otherwise. The guide was exceptionally nice and competent.
Our tour was exactly what we were hoping for! Javier took us to places around Albufera that we would never thought to explore, so we were really happy with the experience. He’s very friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and really focused on making the day enjoyable for us. We especially loved the quieter parts of the park and having paella by the lake.
Had a fabulous day tour of the Albufera with our guide Lukas who was so knowledgeable. The weather was very windy and on arrival for the boats they were not running so he took us to the lagoon and beach instead and gave us his personal knowledge of the area. However upon arriving in El Palmar a boatman was running a boat so we managed a trip on the lagoon after all and then a wonderful traditional paella in his recommended restaurant. On the way home he added on a tour of Valencia old town as he had time and we spent a very enjoyable extra hour with Lukas showing us some of the sights. Clearly nothing was too much trouble for him and he made the day extra special for us as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
If you're looking to escape the urban noise and soak up some fresh air, this is the perfect choice! Our guide, Mateo, was charming, hilarious, and super bright. He shared plenty of personal stories and local insights about the region alongside the actual history. Watching the sun go down from that viewpoint was absolutely stunning.
This is a great option if you want to get out and see some lovely views and nature. We booked a private tour as there was no availability for a small group tour and Gabriel was a fantastic guide and provided us with all the advice the day before. Wetlands, wildlife and walking. We stopped for lunch (included in price) at Arrocería Maribel, a Michelin-recommended paella restaurant in El Palmar, the town where paella was created. We had bread, paella and a bottle of wine - we could of had dessert but were pretty full. Ordinarily, the tour includes a boat ride but due to recent bad weather, they were not running. Gabriel instead drove us through the various wetlands, which was probably just as good, before walking back around the reserve to the beach.
We had an incredible experience on this tour! Our guide, Lucía, was both well-informed and engaging—she welcomed curious questions and sparked conversation. Her enthusiasm for the Albufera and environmental protection was genuinely motivating. Lucía also shared helpful suggestions for the rest of our time in Valencia. The boat ride on the lagoon and stroll through the park was breathtaking, and although it was a cold day, we truly loved walking through the vast natural landscape all the way to the beach. The natural setting, with its birds and peaceful beauty, was truly memorable.
Javier was incredibly knowledgeable and very flexible — he understood our group perfectly, which made the whole afternoon feel relaxed and personal. Lunch by the water was amazing, and tasting real local paella in such a calm setting felt special. The boat ride at sunset was the highlight — gliding across the lake with those golden views was unforgettable.
Our guide Lucía was absolutely delightful — so genuine and full of passion for history and the beautiful places around Valencia! We discovered so many interesting things about local life and learned a lot about Albufera too. It was such a fun and relaxing experience from start to finish. I’d definitely do it again if I ever get the chance!
