Our tour guide was Ricanso. He was excellent from the meeting point, to the edn he was full of knowledge and energy. The stories were informative, educational and fun. The tour was a small group, about 8 and it was perfect. He managed time well, there was a bathroom/beverage break half way through, just a very chill and fun experience.

- the tour guide was informative and engaging - we took a break to get some water and other refreshments, which was much appreciated - you get to see some really cool parts of New Orleans, including the French Quarter - if you’re more of a “history” person rather than a “spooky” person, you get plenty of historical tidbits with the tour. Google Maps showed the meeting address spot as the corner of the Louis Armstrong park but it was really the main entrance less than a block away.

We have seen that Google Maps as well as Apple Maps sometimes misplace the the exact address for our meeting place (despite us reporting the error to them numerous times), which is why we mention in the details to look for us just outside the main entrance to the park. StoryTeller John presented excellent insightful information and personable histories of Marie LaVeau and Jacques St. Germain. He has such an engaging, jovial tone in how he recounted how LaVeau was influential within the NOLA community, through her charity and her deep knowledge of the personal "interactions" of prominent New Orleanites. His St. Germain story was so engaging, that you could easily imagine seeing St. Germain and his wild parties in that corner house. John is an Excellent storyteller and it is worth the money.
