- For Acropolis Museum: Greek Senior citizens and Senior citizens from EU countries, 65 years of age and over, are eligible for reduced admission with current identification card to confirm age. However they will have to wait in line.
- For Acropolis Museum: EU citizens aged 0-18 are entitled to have free admission tickets. However, they have to wait in line to show ID card or passport.
- For Acropolis Museum: Children under 5 years of age, from non-EU countries are entitled to have free admission tickets.
- For Acropolis Museum: Young persons under 18 years of age, from non-EU countries are eligible for reduced admission fee, but they will have to wait in line with current identification card to confirm age.
- For Acropolis Hill: Non-EU childern up to 5 years old are entitled to have free admission tickets. However, they must wait in line to present ID card or passport for verification (age and country).
- For Acropolis Hill: From 1 April to 31 October children and young people aged between 6 and 25 years, from non-European Union countries, are entlitled for reduced admission upon presentation of their passport for verification of their age and country of origin. However, they have to wait in line.
- For Acropolis Hill: From 1 April to 31 October senior citizens over 65 from Greece or other EU member-states and the European Economic Area, are eligible for reduced admission upon presentation of their ID card or passport for verification of their age and country of origin.
- For Acropolis Hill: EU citizens aged 0-25 are entitled to have free admission tickets. However, they have to wait in line to show ID card or passport.
- In the Acropolis archaeological site, head to the validating machines and show your e-ticket. Likewise, in the Acropolis Museum proceed directly to the expedited line to get your ticket scanned. Tickets will be sent to your email 24 hours prior to your visit
- Ensure your smartphone is fully charged prior to your visit
- Time slots are not applicable for Acropolis Museum
- To reach the Acropolis, exit Acropolis metro station (Line 2), head towards Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, and walk along it. The Theatre of Dionysus will be on your right.
- Please be aware that there may be long queues at the entrance, so you might need to wait before entering.
- After booking, you will receive an email with further instructions on how to access and download your audio tour, so please check your email spam folder for this message

Although we did appreciate the guided tours (lots of stories about the Gods and the myth stories), we had a difficult time finding what they were talking about. The location descriptions were vague. We gave up listening fairly quickly and just read the informational signs. We didn’t even bother at the Museum. Next time I would just buy entrance tickets. Although it looks like a long steep climb it is surprisingly easy. Go at your own pace and you should be fine. Go as early as you can because it for really busy after 9:30. It was wonderful when we went in at 8am.

The Acropolis is amazing-just be sure to get skip the line tickets for an early entrance. The new museum is vast and very modern; however it does not have enough signage to help you through the exhibits. That said, both these attractions are worth the visit, but we will not be using Viator in the future to secure tickets or excursions. After paying a hefty price for skip the line tickets and audio guides for both the hill and the museum, we discovered that the two electronic tickets we received were identical-for the hill only. We did not receive tickets for the museum, EVEN THOUGH the tickets were labelled as such. In the end, we were obliged to pay an extra 40 Euros to enter the museum. We will be asking for a refund of our original payment to Viator, but based on our previous experience with this company, I expect to run into significant difficulty with this. Needless to say, after being twice burned, we will not be recommending Viator as a supplier of vacation excursions or tickets.

This company told us we had to book 11am as it was the only available ticket time. We booked 11am and received a confirmation email. 10:59 on the day of the ticket and I had still not been sent the tickets. After trying to call them I get a message back on web WhatsApp (which I don’t use). The tell me there were no 11am tickets and I need to go at 2pm. I’d been waiting in line already for 45 mins so had no choice but to accept and return to the back of the line. It took another hour before I received tickets. It was then too close to our other booking (ticket direct with the attraction) to attend properly at 2pm. The company refused to refund our entrance fee, despite not having redeemed or downloaded. I strongly suggest not touching this company.

I reserved tickets for 11 am but wanted 10:00 am. Email said it was ok but the correct time did not appear on tickets.We had to wait 45 minutes. To gain entry Disappointing

Good details on the historic sites when there was bandwidth to pick up the transmissions. Some of the sound was drowned out by crowd noise.

All tickets worked with no issues. Audio tour also worked with no problems. Tickets available to download the day before, so keep that in mind if you won’t have internet access.
