A Tour in Provence in a typical French motorized bike : the Solex
Description
You'll have a unique opportunity in Vaucluse to discover a mythical French vehicle from the 60s: the Solex! Our region's small, paved roads make for great rides at speeds of up to 25 kph. The slow pace of this moped is ideal for taking your time and enjoying the Provencal countryside, between the Dentelles de Montmirail and Mont Ventoux. The tour starts in the village of Beaumes-de-Venise. We'll wind our way through the Muscat vines, a local specialty. We'll pause to enjoy the scenery and talk about the history of the area. The tour ends with a wine tasting in a village cellar.

Itinerary
The experience will start with explanations about how to use the Solex, a motorized bike. There will be also a helmet/gloves test and a first try of the vehicle on the place.
Departing from the village of Beaumes-de-Venise, we'll enjoy magnificent views of the Dentelles de Montmirail, the region's iconic limestone rock.
We'll also have the chance to admire the 1910-meter-high Mont Ventoux.
We'll take the Chemin des Bernardins, through vineyards of Muscat and olive, the region's two most important crops.
Just a few kilometers from the village of Beaumes, you'll find a lovely chapel and a beautiful medieval garden.
We'll end the tour with a wine tasting, particularly of Muscat, at the Xavier Vignon cellar in the heart of the village.

It was our 2nd walk with Clément, another timeless moment with magnificent landscapes, a superb guide, and a nice tasting! The walk is long, with stops to take the time to explore the view. As they say, good things come in threes! It is with pleasure that we will do another walk, in another destination, we never get tired of it. Thank you Clément, everyone loved it!

A very nice experience on the Solex... Clement is a very good guide, and you can tell he loves sharing his knowledge. He knows his region very well and is curious about everything. I recommend the tour without any reservations. I had a great time.

We greatly enjoyed our solex tour through the beautiful surroundings of Beaumes-de-Venise. Along the way we got fun and interesting facts, which made the ride even more special. After the tour we tasted some fine wines, a perfect end to the warm morning. A great experience to do together with family and friends. Definitely recommended!

The ride was nice, the roads not too much used by cars. We discovered beautiful landscapes: vineyards, olive trees , mountains....The information of our guide Clement was interesting. We just wish we'd gotten a little longer.

Clem is exceptional and provided a very special experience for our family. Nothing was too much trouble from start to finish and we experienced the very best of the French countryside on two wheels. We would recommend the experience to any visitor.

This was one of the best excursions of our Provençal vacation. The tour was scenic and informative and fun! Ending at the wine tasting was a nice touch. Recommend the morning tour as the sun did heat up! Clement made for an interesting lesson of the area and his passion for Solex bikes was contagious. Would do again!
