We got to see so many cool places. Venice was really a unique experience. The tour was very organized. The best part was having our awesome tour leader. She really went above and beyond to take care of us, literally made us feel like a big warm family. The only issue we had was excessive heat of month of June. It was so hot on the day we were touring the Colosseum that we had to cut it short and leave before we get heat stroke. There's so much to see in Rome, and we definitely want to come back again.
My 8-days, 7-nights tour of Italy, .dubbed Fantasia, was the best birthday jaunt, ever. Guide Pretizia was very knowledgeable, and welcoming. She was punctual, detailed, and warm throughout the tour. I would definitely, recommend her, and the tour, to future vacationers. Thanks ♥️ 😊
One of the worst experiences ever; they take your money offer you guided tours that are a scam ie someone who shows you a square ; meals that are inedible, and hotels for example in venice at least 30 minutes away; their extra tours are 5 times what you would pay on your own; at the end if you have an emergency they dont answer the phone; the pickup driver to airport at least 30 minutes late and drops you at wrong terminal; too many people tour guide could not manage

An excellent trip, very well organized, Quality hotels, comfortable ,very clean ,with a good location.Very good food, (you eat rich in Italy) thanks to Antonio's suggestions. And our guide Antonio Lombardi of the best, rating that he loves his profession. Our excellent driver Alessandro very friendly. Just praise for our tour. We had a great time. Thank you.
🇮🇹❤️ Saludos, Gray Line I Love Rome
The trip was fun, there was a lot of walking and wouldn’t recommend this to anyone with mobility issues. There was ample time in all locations and in some places too long . Most of the tour looks at cathedrals and churches so if your not interested in this I wouldn’t recommend it. We also thought that trips to various places was included but found out we had to pay to do these things eg the gondola ride and trip to Burbano. Also when we went to the Vatican and St Peter’s Basilica we thought entry to the Basilica included but found out on the day it wasn’t and we would need to line up after the museum tour and buy the tickets . The lines were very long so this wasn’t an option and the tour finished in the Vatican square and we had to make our own way out of it , not an easy task . Overall the tour was fun and we did enjoy it but don’t think we would do it again.
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about our 8-Day Best of Italy tour. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the overall experience and had fun discovering Italy with us. It’s true that Italy’s history has been deeply shaped by the Catholic Church, and so much of our artistic and cultural heritage — from breathtaking cathedrals to world-renowned masterpieces — reflects this influence. For many travelers, visiting these iconic sites is a highlight of their journey through Italy. Regarding optional activities such as the gondola ride in Venice or excursions like Burano, as well as specific entries such as St. Peter’s Basilica, our booking platforms clearly list what is included in the tour and what is offered as an optional experience, so guests may choose how to enrich their itinerary. This said, we truly value your input and are delighted you enjoyed your time exploring Italy with us. Thanks for your four stars! We hope the memories of Rome, Florence, and Venice will stay with you for years to come. 🇮🇹✨ Best regards, Gray Line I Love Rome
We booked a 12-day bus tour through Italy with Insight Vacations. This 12-day trip included overnights in Rome, Venice, Florence, Assisi (1 night), and Sorrento. We appreciated visiting many historic sites with knowledgeable tour guides who navigated the crowds, which enhanced the experience (Vatican, St.Peter's Basilica, the catacombs, the Colosseum, Pantheon, Pompei, and the island of Capri). A bus tour is a great way to travel if you value efficiency in seeing many sites. All transportation, some meals, and admission fees into the sites visited are included in the overall price. For us, this trip was perfect as we didn't have to worry about carrying luggage, navigating the trains, or the long lines for admission to some sites. Note that this kind of trip is "on the go" as you are usually spending 2 nights in each location. Most days begin at 7 am, and you should expect a fair amount of walking (3 - 6 miles per day) and more, if you decide not to take cabs during your free time. We enjoyed getting in our steps, considering we needed to burn calories! Most hotels were located within 1 mile of city centers. I would rate the included meals as good to excellent, and the rooms are acceptable, 3 to 4 stars, and two of them include pools, which was a welcome. We found rooms in Rome/Venice to be somewhat dated and small. This time of year is very hot, and I would recommend going in fall or spring if your schedule allows!
Dear Elizabeth, thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review! 🌟 Your words beautifully reflect what it means to experience Italy on a multi-day journey: waking up in Rome, strolling through the alleys of Venice, standing in awe before Florence’s treasures, pausing in the quiet of Assisi, and feeling the sea breeze in Sorrento and Capri. Each stop becomes a rhythm in the symphony of travel — guided by experts who bring history to life and supported by the comfort of knowing that every detail, from luggage handling to entrance tickets, has already been taken care of. You’re absolutely right — these tours are “on the go,” with early mornings, busy days, and plenty of walking. Yet that very pace allows travelers to see and feel so much of Italy in a short time, turning miles into memories and footsteps into stories. This is exactly the spirit of our Fantasia tours: curated itineraries that balance efficiency with discovery, the famous with the unexpected, while letting you simply enjoy the journey. Thank you for entrusting us with your Italian adventure — we would be honored to welcome you again, perhaps in the cooler months of spring or autumn, for another chapter in your Italian story. Sincerely, Gray Line I Love Rome
10 day bus tour of Italy from North South. With stops in Rome, Asissi, Sienna, Florence, Venice, Montepulciano, Pisa, Sorrento, Capri and Positano. Guide Nikki organized great excursions and gave a great Italian experience. Bus driver Luigi got us around safely and efficiently. Very friendly and helpful. Great trip!

We’re so glad that Nikki’s guidance and Luigi’s steady hands on the road helped turn this trip into an experience full of joy and discovery. First of all, the transport was excelent, also de car has free internet so that was amazing. Our Tourist guide was very kind and attentive, he gave clear information and answer all our doubts. The hotel in venecia (Hampton by hilton) was really beautiful and his food was buffet-like, so I really love it.
Thank you for sharing your experience on the 8-Days Best of Italy Trip from Rome with Florence and Venice! 🚗💨 We’re happy the transport was top-notch and the free internet kept you connected—because who doesn’t want to brag about their Italian adventure in real time? 📱✨ Your guide sounds like a real superstar—kind, attentive, and always ready to answer your questions. Maybe he should get a cape and a superhero name... and our extra kudos! 🦸♂️ And the hotel in Venice? Sounds like you found the perfect spot to recharge, especially with that buffet-style food—because in Italy, the only thing better than sightseeing is eating well! 🍝🍕 Thanks again for the wonderful feedback. We hope your memories are as unforgettable as the pasta was delicious! 😄🇮🇹 Gray Line Rome
