This trip was absolutely amazing. Trips to Red Rocks, a lagoon with flamingos, Tatio geysers and moon Valley just to name a few. A must for anyone's bucket list
We wanted to book a tour for 5 people. That option wasn’t available and we had to pay for the price of 6. We called Viator and was told that this was the case because we needed to get 3 double rooms. After some communication with the operator itself, we managed to get 2 rooms. Upon arrival, we saw that the other room actually had 5 beds so we actually could have simply gotten that, saving even more. Ultimately an enjoyable but we thoroughly overpaid and would never book through Viator again.
Dear Samuel, First of all, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention and we are truly sorry to hear that you had that impression. Please bear in mind that holidays dates in South America are sold out with months in advanced, and family rooms and triple rooms are the first ones to run out. Our team did everything in their power to confirm a triple room as requested for the 5th traveler, which was extremely difficult regarding the availability for those dates. Although we booked and confirmed a triple basis cabin, due to a last minute change the party of three women were finally confirmed in a bigger cabin as an upgrade by the hotel, so that they will be more comfortable. Unfortunately, we have no control in advance over those unexpected changes and when they happen we try to adapt as best as possible to keep on the trip quality as better as possible. We are glad to hear that despite this issue you had a great time in San Pedro de Atacama. Please accept our sincerest apologies on behalf of everyone on the team. Kind regards, Ana
Two full days of discovery (3 nights). Amazing landscape. informative guides, careful driver (we had the same one for all 3 tours). Punctual pick-ups from hotel which provided full breakfast even for early 4.30am start. We had not been advised who the local (in San Pedro) tour operator actually was, which was puzzling. We had booked an early flight and were disappointed not to be able to have a short (earlyish) tour on the first afternoon. We were unaware of and ill-prepared for the amount of walking the afternoon of the Valley de la Luna tour; the tour description did not reflect the walking involved.
