Itinerary
Vimotions offers you the chance of enjoying a fantastic hiking tour through one of the protected areas which represent the recent and historical volcanism of Lanzarote. This area is the nature park of Los Volcanes and its space is covered by the lava of the eruptions that took place there in 1730-36 and 1824. You will go on a very enlightening route during which you will be able to discover the amazing world of volcanoes while you walk across lava flows or ascend to volcanic cones where it’s possible to find spectacular craters, lava tunnels, lava lakes, etc. All the volcanic structures are well conserved because of the arid weather of Lanzarote, which causes the evolution of its vegetation to be very slow. The result of this is a landscape which seems like a huge open-air museum of volcanology. The most interesting aspect of it is that, as a visitor and with your guide’s help, you will get to understand how the slow-but-constant rebirth of life upon the lava occurs. This tour is a unique experience to live and understand how the Canary Islands came to exist. • You will learn all about volcanoes and its consequences on the islands. • You will enjoy magnificent views during your hike. • A guide will remain alongside you at all times and tell you interesting facts about the land.

We were lucky enough to have an excellent guide! Nadine, passionate, made us discover the volcano park with great enthusiasm. She masters her subject perfectly and remains very attentive to everyone’s questions, despite a group a little too many (22 people...).
Very interesting walk across varied lava fields, around volcanos and into one. The walk is 3 hours and mostly flat. Our guides were knowledgeable and engaging. The 3 hours flew by, even though we had wind and rain for most of the walk! The 10 minute stop for a snack was enough to keep the energy levels up. Pick up was on time from our hotel (9am) followed by a number of other pick ups on route, we were at the starting point around 9.45, then walk started about 10. Be aware there are no toilet facilities at any point on this trip (not a criticism but for information).
You have to be relatively fit, especially if it is windy. Fabulous scenery and the guide was really good.
Very easy walking and very interesting. The group was well looked after.
Most tours of the island have to be by coach but a hiking tour gives you chance to take a look at the little details of why the landscape is like it is. The guide was very friendly and prompt and clearly loved the island. Well worth doing if you like to know the ins and outs 🤓
A wonderful walk in the volcanoes with a guide who taught us a lot about volcanoes, history and cultures. Many thanks to her and I recommend this activity
Marcello was fantastic. Great guide and a very fun trip for all. Made the walk all the more enjoyable. 5*
Unique experience walking in the volcanic region. Some great stories about locals and the nature. But the walk is a bit long (for me personally) especially when its super windy
It was an amazing walk, got to see lots and the landscape is so breathtaking! The tour guide was excellent and told us lots of interesting facts about the volcanic park!
In my review the most authentic Canary Island. The explosion of volcanoes gave lunar landscapes. Resorts without tall buildings.
