Experience of a lifetime etched into my deepest psyche

Totally overwhelming and amazing experience seeing the gorillas at Bwindi. My tour guide (driver) Edmand who drove me from Kampala was excellent.. very knowledgeable and good company. I’m glad I hired a porter for the trek .. she was really needed. The terrain was tough for someone of my age, and she was a great help. The organisation of the tour company and all the details on arrival were very well handled. The food was below average at the lodge but probably because it’s such a remote place - hard to get supplies up there. Lake Mburo National Park where we went afterwards was also amazing.. and much preferred the lodge there .. stunning setting and good food - it was Rwakobo Rock Lodge. . Altogether an incredible adventure, all organised in Kampala at the last minute. I feel blessed and privileged. Below it asks you to select the country you come from.. it kept defaulting to United States but I live in Australia.. !
