I had an amazing experience! Everything was well organized from the hotel pickup to the boat trip. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made every effort to help me find the shoebill. We were lucky enough to see one up close, which was unforgettable. Communication was excellent, and everyone was kind and professional. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Uganda. The Mabamba Swamp Shoebill and Birdwatching tour is an often overlooked gem -- it was a fantastic half-day trip, starting not far from the Entebbe international airport. A boat ride of about 50 minutes takes you to the Mabamba Swamp, which is a very beautiful and large wetlands area on the northwestern edge of Lake Victoria. Ronnie and Kenneth were my guides, and did a fantastic job!! They were very informative, personable, and fun to be with. We saw many bird species, and the highlight was observing 2 Shoebills at close range (one for more than 15 minutes). Ir was a superb trip and very unique experience. Do not miss if you are visiting Uganda, and book with Ronnie and Kenneth!! Highly recommended!!
