We had a great trip to the highlands and Isle of Skye. Hugh was a great guide. Das joke funny, engaging, and knowledgeable, and a great piper! I would highly recommend this tour with Hugh leading the tour - he gave a lot of himself for our enjoyment and added experience. The B&B was also vey good in Inverness.
80% of the trip was 34 of us passengers sitting on a cramped noisy bus with very poor sound system making it really difficult to understand the guide’s Scottish accent (English is our mother tongue). Many sites were only seen in the distance. On the other hand - good driving skills. Many bathroom breaks. Beautiful scenery and we did see a lot of the highlands. Enjoyed our evening walks in Inverness and the B&B accommodations were lovely.
Hi there, Thank you for your review! We're glad you got to experience the beauty of the Highlands, great driving, and lovely B&B stays in Inverness. However, we are very sorry that the bus ride felt cramped and that the sound system made it difficult to hear our guide. Clear commentary and passenger comfort are incredibly important to us, so we are addressing these audio and vehicle issues with our team right away. We appreciate your honest feedback! Kind regards, Highland Experience Tours
It was a wonderful tour. Great sights. Off the bus frequently for sights, activities and quick rest stop. Very knowledgeable guide and very accommodating. Worth the three days and the cost. Highly recommend. Doogie are guide was excellent.
Craig was an excellent tour guide on this 3-day tour! He shared many historical facts and even some personal stories to keep the tour group engaged; he answered a multitude of questions too. Each of the three days were full, but allowed plenty of time for exploration of stops at villages & historical sights. We stayed at the same bed & breakfast for the two nights of the tour, allowing us to get to know the host too. Highly recommend this tour! Rather than driving, it was nice to enjoy the scenery along the way too.
We had an great trip and saw much of the Highlands that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. The views everywhere were remarkable.
Hi Christine! We're so pleased you enjoyed your 3-day trip and got to take in the remarkable Highland scenery. We strive to showcase the best of the area to our guests. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and we hope to welcome you again soon. Best wishes, Wayne Highland Experience Tours
Stuart was a great tour guide with incredible knowledge of the history of Scotland interspersed with information about the current life and culture of Scotland. He took as to all the sites listed as well as a few extras. The scenery was beautiful and we were fortunate to have nice weather with less rain but the weather changes all day long so having good rain gear that dries quickly is a must. Staying in Inverness for two nights was lovely as it is a beautiful city with a lively music scene. The B&B we stayed was close to town and had wonderful accommodations and a delicious breakfast. There are many breaks throughout the day to get off the bus and stretch, use the facilities and take lovely pictures. My only recommendation would be to give the passengers an updated daily itinerary with planned sites and schedule.
We had such a fun time! our driver/tour guide Craig was really fun & super informative & you could tell he really loves talking about his country. we enjoyed all the dad jokes. We had a pretty small group on our bus - 21 people. and it was cool to see where everyone else was from. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Scotland! it was so nice to just sit back and enjoy the ride & the scenery. You really get to see a lot! we enjoyed learning about all the history as well.
Hi Marley, Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review! We're so pleased you enjoyed your day with Craig. He has a real talent for combining Scotland's history, culture, and landscapes with plenty of humour, so we're delighted to hear his stories and dad jokes helped make the tour memorable. It's also wonderful to hear that you enjoyed sharing the experience with a smaller group and meeting fellow travellers from all over the world. Thank you for recommending us to future visitors, and we hope to see you again on another Highland adventure soon! Kind regards, Siobhan Highland Experience Tours
This tour was fantastic!! Lee was a great tour guide and driver. He was fun and entertaining and helpful. The tour hit all the highland highlights with varying activities. And lots of opportunities for pictures. We had a smaller group with 15 people, which was perfect. And the Ballifeary Guest House in Inverness was a comfortable and inviting B&B! Will definitely recommend to everyone.
Hi Ada, Thank you for your fantastic review! We're delighted to hear you had such a great time exploring the Highlands with Lee, especially all the photo opportunities, and that the smaller group size helped make the experience even more enjoyable. We're also pleased to hear that you had a comfortable stay at Ballifeary Guest House in Inverness. We'll be sure to pass your kind words on to Lee and the team. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back to Scotland again in the future! Kind regards, Siobhan Highland Experience Tours
Chris was a fantastic guide and driver. The trip was great value for money. We saw many different places and got plenty of time at them. The B&B was clean, comfortable and had a great, inclusive selection for breakfast. We both thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would use this company again.
