We just returned from a wonderful two-day Machu Picchu tour booked with Machu Picchu Tours-Travel Company. I had wanted a tour that was different from what I could find offered through other companies but John at Machu Picchu Tours set up exactly what I wanted. The logistics of a trip like this are complicated and even though I was a travel agent for 30 years I would never try to put all the parts together myself. This is where a local agency is a necessity. Not only did everything run smoothly but we had the most enjoyable time. Our personal guide Darcy, was the most excellent person to show us the wonders of Machu Picchu. He was patient and helpful in my navigation of the many steps, letting us rest whenever we needed. He'd give us information and make it relatable and interesting. He answered any question we had. Big thanks to John and Darcy and all of the others who helped us along the way.
