1-Day Tour with Private Transportation and English Speaking Guide

Description
This tour is the best one-day tour end with sunset on Bakheng mountain, the price is the final price for 2 people to 3 people with private transportation and English speaking guide. Group sharing tours are much cheaper but are a totally different experience. On a group sharing tour, you’d be shuffled along with others never treated as an individual. The experience I provide is almost exactly the opposite!

Itinerary
Morning 08:00 Leave for tour of Angkor Thom (comprising of the Bayon Temple, Terrace of Elephant and Terrace of Leaper King.) The city of Angkor Thom, founded by Jayavarman VII in the 12th century, was one of the largest of all Khmer cities and remained the capital until the 17th century. We enter the city through the monumental south gate, its tower features four faces pointing in each of cardinal directions with the elephants holding up the main gate, preceded by a no less impressive Avenue of Gods and Ashuras (Giant) lining the bridge across the structure moat. The Bayon or state temple of Jayavarman VII is one of the most enigmatic and power religious constructions in the world. It is a unique mass of “faces tower” which creates a stone- a mountain of ascending peaks. There were originally 49 towers of which 37are still standing today. Most are carved with four faces on each cardinal point. The central tower has many more.
The Elephant Terrace is at the heart of Angkor Thom and looks out overage Royal spare. It marks the entrance to the Royal Palace and was the focal point for Royal receptions. The Carving of the elephants along its Wall gives it its modern name.
Terrace of Leper King, This massive terrace is named after the 15th-century sculpture that was discovered on top of it. It probably dates back to the reign of Jayavarman VII and has been restored in a manner, which allows visitors to explore the earliest to most recent additions by actually entering the internal layers of the structure.
Ta Prohm Temple (Tom Rider Movies) Ta Prohm was built in the 12th century by Jayavarman VII as a royal monastery. It was dedicated to the king’s mother. This temple was chosen to be left in its natural state as an example of how most Angkor looked, upon its rediscovery in the 18th century. Shrouded in jungle, the temple of Ta Prohm is ethereal in aspect and conjures up a romantic aura with gigantic roots and branches intimately intertwined with the stoned and probing walls to form a natural roof above the man-made structures.
Afternoon 14:30 leaving for a tour of Angkor Wat and sunset at Bakheng Hill. Builds between the 9th and 14th centuries, the City of Angkor is one of the grandest monuments ever constructed. The entire complex covers approximately 164sq miles with over 200 temples. Among the 30 temple that is accessible today, the most famous is Angkor Wat, the largest religions building in the world, with a volume of stone equaling that of the Cheops pyramid in Egypt. Conceived by Suryavarman II early 12th century, Angkor Wat took an estimated 30 years to build. Unlike most other Khmer temples, it faces west; the most likely reason is that the temple was dedicated to Vishnu, who is sometimes associated with the West
Bakeng Mountain is the best place to see the beautiful sunset, In the late 9th century, it was the state temple of the first capital of Angkor. Begin the ascent from the east side at the foot of the hill close to the road. The view from the top is magnificent, particularly of Angkor Wat to the South East and is the most popular spot for tourist in the same period

The day trip was absolutely fantastic! Mr. Sophia served as my guide, always prioritizing my comfort. His expertise is remarkable, and he explains everything in a way that ensures I grasp the significance of our visits. The organization of the tour was excellent, and my favorite moment was the lunch spot he recommended near the temple, where the food was incredibly tasty! Additionally, our driver, Sophan, offered us water when we required it and provided us with cool towels. A big thumbs up for him! I suggest this tour, along with Mr. Sophia and Sophan, to fellow tourists interested in visiting Siem Reap.

Sovan Kong was an excellent guide. He explained the history and meanings of all the temples. He allowed me time to take all the photos I could. His driver was such a lovely man. I booked a private tour as i enjoy the time I can take. Both gentlemen were so kind and nice. Highly recommend both the tour and the guide and the driver.
I decided to go around the town to taste some of Cambodian foods. The dinner with Apsara dance was awesome. Prohok restaurant was very tasty.

I had a personalized tour and it was an excellent choice as I can choose the visit I wanted. I visited in the morning the temples especially Angkor Wat and Angkor Tom. The guide was very helpful to understand the history of the temples as well as the country. After the temples, I went back to the guesthouse and had a break. In the late afternoon, I visited the floating village and the sunset on Tonle Sap. I was very amazed to see how people survive here and how happy are the kids. The sunset on Tonle Sap with the guide was one of the best and unforgettable. Thank you!

We had a wonderful tour with Ms.Kanha as our guide. There was so much to see at different locations so a guide is a must and will help make sure you have an entrance pass you have to collect separate from the temples. Private tours are much better so you're not waiting in the massive groups travelling around the place. We had a very personalised tour. Kanha was very helpful with all of our questions and providing information on the locations and history. We felt like we got the ultimate experience with her and she helped us take some beautiful photos and new the perfect spots for a photo to capture the memory. She recommend restaurant for Lunch was amazing! My partner and I can't recommend this tour and Kanha enough!
