1 Day Private Tour Angkor Wat & Banteay Srey

Description
Angkor Wat is unique for its massive scale, intricate carvings, and role as a state temple complex, while Banteay Srei is unique for its intricate pink sandstone carvings, smaller size, and construction by a counselor rather than a king. Angkor Wat is one of Southeast Asia's most significant archaeological sites, known for its monumental size and complex layout. Banteay Srei is unique for its exquisite pink sandstone and incredibly detailed, three-dimensional carvings, which are considered some of the finest in the world. Its smaller, "miniature" scale, compared to other Angkorian temples, creates an intimate setting, and it was also one of the few temples built by a Brahman courtier, not a king.

Itinerary
Angkor Wat is the largest and most famous Khmer temple, built in the 12th century, between 1113 -1150, during the reign of Suryavarman II. Standing 65 meters high, the temple is surrounded by a large moat [Ko Tek]. The exterior and interior walls are covered with amazing base-reliefs.
PRASAT BAYON or ANGKOR THOM is a Buddhist style temple built in late 12th/early 13th century by Jayavarnam VII. Bayon has 54 towers representing the 54 provinces before and during the Khmer empire. There are over 200 smiling faces carved on the 54 towers. Bayon was a thriving capital but unfortunately was damaged in 1811 by Cham invaders.
PRASAT TA PROMH, built in late 12th century by Jayavarman VII was dedicated in 1186 to his mother. Originally this temple had a Buddhist background but later was converted to Hindu so some Buddhist galleries were destroyed and replaced by Hindu symbols such as Yoni and Lingam. Its location is 1.5kms from Bayon through the Victory Gate. Ta Promh is famous for the trees (called “Spung”) growing strongly up, on and over the sandstone block walls.
It's most beautiful, pink sandstone temple with detailed caving. Its 35 kilometers away from grand tour site. Because of its delicate carvings Banteay Srei is also known as “Lady Temple”. You can stop mid-way to see locals making the natural sugar products from the sugar palm. Maybe you have never seen this before so take the opportunity while in this in this area.
Banteay Samré is a temple at Angkor, Cambodia, located 400 metres to the east of the East Baray. Built during the reign of Suryavarman II and Yasovarman II in the early 12th century, it is a Hindu temple in the Angkor Wat style.
Chau Say Tevoda is a temple at Angkor, Cambodia. It is just east of Angkor Thom, directly south of Thommanon across the Victory Way. Built in the mid-12th century, it is a Hindu temple in the Angkor Wat period. It is dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu with unique types of female sculptures of devatas enshrined in it.

Easy Angkor Trip delivered an excellent, smooth (i.e. easy as their company name states), and customer-friendly experience to visit the main temples and attractions at Angkor Wat and Banteay Srey in Cambodia. The team provided a driver, a friendly English-speaking guide, cold bottled water throughout the day, and historical and cultural information on all of the sites. Also, I arrived in Cambodia without a visitor pass to the temples, and Easy Angkor Trip assisted me in obtaining a day pass to visit the temples. Finally, I visited the temples in early August 2025 (immediately after the ceasefire was announced between the Governments of Cambodia and Thailand). Siem Reap is absolutely safe to visit for tourists as the temples are not located along the border areas (where the conflict occurred).
Thank you for sharing your detailed experience! We're so glad you enjoyed the trip, services, and felt safe exploring the incredible temples. Your feedback is invaluable for other travelers considering Cambodia as their destination.
We had the pleasure of being guided by the enthusiastic and deeply knowledgeable Mr Oun Kosorl recently. His passion for the Angkor Wat temples and Cambodia was contagious, and his detailed knowledge along with excellent photography skills truly enhanced the experience. Not only was he eager to share insights, but he went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and informed throughout the tour. His helpfulness and genuine love for what he does made it an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!
Bros the Tour Guide came with me and he was a great help. He shared alot of the history about the site as well as some history about the kymer rouge. I would highly recommend.

Having Sinann as a tour guide was not down to a choice or planning on my husband or my part. He was kind enough to step in when our chosen guide was too ill to come. Sinann was the icing on the cake on what was a brilliant day visiting the temples. He was extremely polite and accommodating. He knew his history and answered all questions with clarity and accuracy. He had a very caring side and was very kind and patient with a couple of ‘oldies’. We have already earmarked him for friends who have said are wanting to visit Angkor temples. It would be hard to find someone who matches his lovely personality and his enthusiasm. It was a hot day but one that we are always going to remember mainly due to the fact that Sinann was our guide for the day. Thank you Sinann and may you remain blessed.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We’re delighted to hear that Sinann was able to step in and make your visit to the Angkor temples such a memorable one. It means a lot to know that his knowledge, kindness, and patience helped make your day enjoyable—especially in the heat! Your lovely words about his personality and enthusiasm will certainly be shared with him, and we’re sure they will mean a great deal. We’re also very grateful for your recommendation to your friends. It was our pleasure to be part of your journey, and we hope to welcome you again in the future. Warm regards,
In fact, we had 3 full days and did far more than this with Mr K as our guide. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He loves his country and that enthusiasm shone through in everything we did together. He is extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much from him. A wonderful ambassador for his country and its amazing sights.
Thank you very much for your amazing review and we are very appreciated for your kind and recommendation us. Best Regard Sinan
He was very kind and taught me a lot of things. If you ever come to Siem Reap again, I would like to ask you to guide me again. My wife lost her hat, but she casually lent me her own. Thank you very much.
Thank you Niedata for your tours in Siem Reap with me, I had a wonderful time with you as fun photos and lovely chatting with our own experiences. Best Regard from Mr K
I've done multiple tours with Kosorl over a few trips to Cambodia. Kosorl is a wonderful tour guide and person, he has a charming and friendly personality, he really cares about Cambodia and it's history and present day community. He know a lot and is very happy to accommodate anything you need. If you get tired of seeing tourists ask him to take you out to a village for a very local experience.
Thank you very much for your amazing review. Best regard from us
The temples of Angkor Wat are one of the world's greatest cultural achievements, a must see experience. Mr K was an informative, enthusiastic and friendly guide who brought the temples to life, filling us in on both the history and modern Cambodia. He is also an excellent and creative photographer who took some great shots of us
Hi dear I would like to say thank you for your beautiful reviewing and such a great experiences in Cambodia with us and our trip was finished but our memories are alive. We had wonderful conversation as culture exchanges and you're so friendly and optimistic person who I know. Finally I wish you all the best and I hope to see you someday soon for surely. Best Regards Kosorl OUN
Kosorl, the founder of this company, was our guide for our short stay in Siem Reap. He made sure that we had a fantastic experience. I was doubtful that I would be able to climb the steep steps at the temples due to the fact that I have arthrtic knees but he was determined that I was going to see everything and simply took my hand and helped me every inch of that way. From the moment he met us at the airport to the moment he hugged me goodbye he made us feel welcome, was very caring and very informative. He and I had many conversations while my husband was off filming every corner of each temple and I feel that I have made a friend for life. I do hope so. The service that this company gives is excellent and if you want to visit Siem Reap you could not do better than to organise it through Easy Angkor, you will not regret it.
Dear mom It's great to hear from you. I believe you come back here again and many thank for your wonderful reviews and I will do my best as my hospitality skills. Also we had a wonderful conversation and exchanged some experiences. Finally I would like to wish all the best in your life. Best Regards Kosorl OUN Easy Angkor Trip Team
