When Oceania Cruises waited until the last minute, as they unnecessarily are wont to do, Shannon took care of me and solved the problem. I highly recommend her services for anyone with travel needs. Hostess and naturalist Paola and Captain “Hollywood” provided us with a totally unforgettable experience! Even though it was theoretically past whale watching season, we wound up spending a good portion of the boat ride hanging out with a humpback whale and her calf, escorted by two dolphins leading the group and keeping a constant distance of 15 feet in front of the mama humpback. We saw rays and other fish jumping out of the water. Paola was delightful and unique in my experience in her combination of enthusiasm and passion for what she was doing and her naturalist knowledge, both of which she shared liberally with us. The sunset was gorgeous, the snacks were good, and the whole experience was both truly memorable and highly recommended!

This was the best part of our vacation. Roland and Jorge were extremely welcoming when we arrived. The wines were delicious and the tapas included paired very nicely. My wife and I have been to countless wineries and wine tasting events, but have never met anyone with the knowledge and passion about wine as Jorge. The boat was not flashy, but it was very comfortable and allowed us to feel truly part of the water. We were also lucky enough to find a pair of whales heading in from the ocean and the captain of the boat was skilled enough to get us close without disturbing them, and we were able to follow them for quite awhile. I really cant say enough good things about our experience. The entire team is friendly and dedicated to making sure they provide a once in a lifetime experience, every time. They are very genuine and would be wonderful to just hang out with. We will make this a regular stop any time we’re in the Cabo area.

We had a great time! Jorge our sommelier was very knowledgeable and the wine was fantastic. The weather was nice, the sunset was beautiful and the boat ride was smooth enough to rock you to sleep. ;) Definitely recommend!

Great excursion! The boat was nice and comfortable. The captain did an excellent job. The sommelier was very knowledgeable. The weather wasn’t very good, so we didn’t get the typical blue skies, but it made for an outstanding sunset. We saw some dolphins and a sawfish jumped out of the water right in front of us. I will definitely do this again or one of Salty Cabo’s other excursions. Highly recommend. Great communication with the owner.

I booked a private sunset wine tasting cruise with Salty Cabo a few weeks back for my girlfriend and I and we could not have been happier with our choice. Roland (the founder of Salty Cabo) joined us on the boat tour and we had a very lovely time chatting with him. Our sommelier Jorge was incredibly knowledgable and we loved listening to his stories about the different wines he selected for our trip and his stories about working as a sommelier internationally. The sunset was unbelievable and leaving from San Jose Del Cabo and heading south provided breathtaking views. We highly recommend booking with them for your sunset tour!

Salty Cabo for the win! We wanted to do a private cruise but didn't want to spend the money---we ended up having a private cruise anyway! Maria and our captain was great! We spotted a ton of mobula rays, enjoyed our snacks and wine. Would highly recommend for sunset vibes!

Excellent whale watching tour. The Super Salty was very comfortable and Roland is a great guide. Seeing a 20K lb whale breach 75 yards in front of you is amazing. Going out of San Jose/La Playa was great as there were no other whale watching excursions out there but LOTS of whales. Highly recommend Salty Cabo!
Thank you for your words. Taking the excursions out of San Jose del Cabo will give you the chance to be away from the boat crowds. Most of the time it is just us and the whales. Our guests love this kind of experience and keeping our group size small is a little add on. Wish you all the best.
