Fatehpur Sikri wurde 1571 vom großen Mogulkaiser Akbar gegründet. Vor dem Bau der Stadt besuchte Akbar den Sufi-Heiligen Scheich Salim Chishti, der in dem kleinen Dorf Sikri lebte. Der Heilige segnete ihn mit einer Prophezeiung, dass er einen Sohn und Erben haben würde. Als dies wahr wurde, beschloss Akbar, seine Hauptstadt von Agra nach Sikri zu verlegen und baute eine herrliche Kaiserstadt, die nach seinem erfolgreichen Gujarat-Feldzug Fatehpur (Stadt des Sieges) genannt wurde.

Tour was very nice. I don't normally use a guide, but I feel like in this place it really came in handy. As knowing where to go did not seem intuitive. The detail of the guide was great, and he helped us navigate the mosque as well which might have been intimidating otherwise.

Great complex buildings the guide tour explained everything well and interesting facts. I had a pleasant time also the complex has toilet and stores for water . Beautiful place . Bhagvan Das was our guide tour I recommend the tour with him.

Before I reached Fatehpur Sikri, i was very nervous because i had heard there were many scums and beggars. So i asked the guide (Lakhan) for my trip. It was a good decision. I could safely see architectures.

Very efficient way of seeing Fatehpur Sikri starting from Agra. Driver Manoj was prompt, careful and friendly, pointing out some interesting places along the way. Met our guide at Fatehpur Sikri car park. Tour was very rapid (we were almost running to keep up and had to work quite hard at times to get a question in!) but covered the key facts and places within the palaces and mosque. Guide picked up another tour group just as he finished with us so I guess he was keeping to a tight schedule...

I have book a cab going to agra to fatehpur Sikri. Cab is also neet and clean and driver is good behaviour he knows everything about our tour. Over all good service I have also recommend this company.
