Most parts of this tour were okay, but the Ranthambore leg could have been skipped. The five-star hotel had no hot water and the staff seemed surprised that we were arriving. The tour company did not properly communicate with the hotel about the logistics of our safari and we were left to figure out on our own the timings and if we were being picked up at our hotel.
Great tour…four different locations and three different hotels. We booked the private tour with the five-star hotel option for the two of us. Everything was wonderful but quite intense. Daily India itself is intense, and a speed tour of the Golden Triangle with a Tiger Safari makes travel super intense and colorful. The local roads are full of people, cars, Toktok, trucks, and animals… we saw oxen, sheep, camels, and elephants on the road. The modern highway linking each location looks brand new with very little traffic (yet). The driver and tour guides were the best. Special commendation for our driver Sayam, and our Agra Taj Mahal tour guide Rusheed Qureshi who took wonderful pictures of us at the Taj Mahal and Fort Agra. We took this tour in May, which was hot, hot, hot. So, if you have a choice, pick cooler months to visit the Golden Triangle, and it will be even more enjoyable. Hotel stays, entrance tickets, breakfasts, and dinner at the Tiger Resort were all included in the tour. Day 1 Delhi sights, drive to Agra: Our driver Sayam met us with a nice white sedan at our Delhi hotel. He would be our driver for the entire trip, and we would pick up a different tour guide every day in each location. We toured Delhi from late morning until lunch around 2:30. We ate lunch at this delicious Indian Chinese restaurant. After lunch, we drove 3-4 hours to Agra and stayed at the Jaypee Palace, a beautiful resort hotel where past US presidents Bush and Obama stayed. Day 2 Agra Taj Mahal, drive to Ranthambore National Park area hotel: We woke up at 4 a.m. So we could tour the Taj Mahal at sunrise and only 90°F, not 120°F later in the day! Absolute jaw-dropping experience. We are so grateful we could see that in our lifetime. Our tour guide Rusheed Qureshi was amazing; he knew the exact location, angle, lighting of how to take the perfect pictures for the Taj Mahal. We finished our tour around 8:30 a.m. and returned to the hotel for breakfast and a nap, before checking out. Our driver Sayam picked us up again with Rusheed and we toured Fort Agra, which is another fascinating historic sight, then the baby Taj. We got dropped off at another tasty restaurant early afternoon. Afterwards, we drove about 6 hours to the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve area and checked in our room at the AamaGhanti Wildlife Resort. This is a beautiful resort with each room named after a tiger in the Reserve. There was a little bit of an electric problem and we asked to change room and maybe upgrade to a bigger room… and for $50US, we got another room 10X the size! Dinner was included that evening at the resort. Day 3 Tiger Safari, drive to Jaipur: We met at 6 a.m. and got picked up in an 8-person jeep, for a driver, a guide, and 6 tourists. We toured in Zones 7, 8, and 9 and learned all about local tigers and saw lots of mammals like deer, antelopes, monkeys, and birds, but no tigers. Since it was a safari, you never know when you would see which animal. They said the tour group the day before saw a tiger! The land/jungle (dry) was vast, and the openness of the terrain was beautiful. Afterwards, we returned to the resort and had breakfast and a nap before checking out. We drove 3 hours to Jaipur around noon. We were dropped off at the Jaipur Intercontinental Hotel midafternoon, and we were on our own. We ate a late lunch at the hotel. It was 115°F outside, and we were glad we had time to relax for the rest of the day. Day 4 Tour of Jaipur, drive to Delhi Airport: Sayam met us at 7:30 a.m. after we had breakfast and checked out of the Intercontinental. Off we go with another tour guide to see the amazing sights in Jaipur. We had lunch early in the afternoon, and the tour could drop us off anywhere between Jaipur and Delhi. We asked to be dropped off at the Delhi airport around 6 p.m. It was about a 4-hour drive from Jaipur to the Delhi International Airport. Thank you, Crystal India Holidays, you made great memories for us in India.
Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your Golden Triangle and Ranthambore tour, and that Sayam and Rusheed helped make your trip so memorable. We also appreciate your feedback about traveling in May. May and June are the hottest months of the year in North India, so we always recommend visiting between October and March for the most pleasant weather whenever possible. Thank you as well for mentioning the electrical issue at the wildlife resort. We'll certainly share your feedback with the hotel to help improve future guests' experiences. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we hope to welcome you back to India again soon! Best regards, Amit Crystal India Holidays
This tour is a great way to see a lot of India in a short period of time without the work of planning and organizing. Our driver Monu was the absolute best, he was very courteous, kept us hydrated in the heat, and took great care of us throughout the trip! All of the guides (Sivraj, Manoj, and Kamlender) were very knowledgeable and even had some photography skills. This tour was very flexible, allowing us to adjust timing and attractions as we liked. All of the hotels (5-star option) were very nice, with attentive staff and delicious Indian and Western food options. This was an excellent tour and the highlight of my time in India!
Thank you for your wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that the tour allowed you to experience so much of India without the stress of planning and organizing. It means a lot to know that it became the highlight of your time in India. Monu will be thrilled to hear your kind words. His care, professionalism, and attention to guests' comfort truly make a difference, especially during the warmer months. We are also pleased that Sivraj, Manoj, and Kamlender helped bring each destination to life with their knowledge and even captured some great memories along the way. It's wonderful to know that you enjoyed the flexibility of the tour as well as the hotels, food, and overall experience. Thank you for choosing Crystal India Holidays, and we hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable journey in the future. Best regards, Amit Crystal India Holidays
Wasn't sure what to expect but this trip genuinely surprised me. Seeing tigers in the wild is something else! Great 4-day trip overall. And shoutout to our guide who made the whole experience so much better. Knew the park inside out and also gave us handy tips along the way, like using Mony to handle payments between cities. Saved us a lot of hassle. Would highly recommend this tour!
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We are delighted to hear that the trip exceeded your expectations and that seeing tigers in the wild became such a memorable experience. Great luxury travel. Shrawan Ji was a great driver, all the hotels were very good, top guides. Great experience!

Vickie was our driver for the four days and he was very professional and knowledgeable. He was as knowledgeable as any tour guide. He made sure my wife had a birthday cake on her birthday. Each day we had a different guide for the days experience . The whole four day tour was amazing and the hotels were superb. Negotiating traffic was a terrifying experience for back seat drivers! 🤪 All added to the India experience. We would highly recommend this tour.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We are delighted to hear that you had such an amazing four-day tour. Vicky will be especially happy to know you appreciated his professionalism, knowledge, and the thoughtful birthday surprise for your wife, which truly makes the journey even more special. It’s also great to know you enjoyed the different guides in each city and found the hotels superb. And yes, the traffic can feel like an adventure in itself, but we are glad it added to your overall India experience in a memorable way. Thank you for your recommendation. We would love to welcome you again for another incredible journey. Best regards, Amit Crystal India Holidays
Very well done. The tour went as advertised. Good communication from the company every step of the way. I liked them so much that I booked something extra directly with them . Like any tour groups, there will be trips to some places to sell stuff with big mark up. If you like what you see, buy something and it will make someone’s day. But if not, politely decline and treat others with respect and there was no problem at all.
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! We’re glad to hear the tour met your expectations and that you appreciated our communication throughout. It means a lot that you chose to book an additional experience with us. We also appreciate your balanced perspective regarding shop visits, and we’re happy to know you felt comfortable throughout. We look forward to welcoming you again! Best regards, Amit Crystal India Holidays
While the technical aspects of this tour were handled well, the overall experience was deeply compromised by undisclosed commercial agendas and poor customer support. The Positives: Logistically, the agency performed well. The drivers and guides were punctual, the transport was comfortable, and the itinerary was generally followed according to the timeline. Most guides were friendly and possessed a deep knowledge of their local culture. The Negatives: High Pressure "Cultural" Visits: We were frequently steered toward local factories under the guise of cultural appreciation. Despite being told there was no obligation to buy, these visits were high pressure sales environments. In one instance at a carpet factory, the owner’s demeanor became visibly hostile when we declined a purchase. In a private tour setting (just two of us, the driver, and the guide), this created an intimidating atmosphere where we felt our safety was secondary to their sales targets. Dishonest Private Experience: It became clear that these factory stops are a systemic part of the tour, as we saw many other private groups being funneled into the same locations. Conclusion & Customer Service: I escalated these concerns to TripAdvisor Customer Service, but the response was dismissive. They suggested the choice to buy was ours, completely ignoring the psychological pressure and the safety concerns of being in a secluded sales environment. This agency clearly prioritizes commission based shopping over the traveler’s experience. If these stops had been transparently listed on the schedule, I would never have booked. Due to the lack of accountability from TripAdvisor, I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. While we’re glad that you found the logistical aspects, guides, and drivers up to the mark, we are truly sorry to hear that the overall experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that visits to local artisan workshops, such as carpet weaving, marble inlay, or textiles, are included by many travellers as part of the cultural experience. These places are meant to showcase traditional craftsmanship and heritage skills. However, we completely understand your concern regarding the environment you experienced. We also clearly mention in our travel tips shared in advance that if you would like to include or skip any shopping or workshop visits, you can inform us beforehand. Some guests enjoy purchasing souvenirs or seeing how local crafts are made, while others prefer to focus only on sightseeing. In this case, we did not receive any request from your side to skip such visits, either before or during the tour. I was personally connected with you on WhatsApp throughout, and we did not receive any message indicating that you wished to avoid these stops. That said, what you described regarding feeling pressured or uncomfortable, especially the behaviour at the carpet factory, is absolutely not acceptable and not the standard we aim to deliver. Guest comfort and safety are our top priorities, and we will be addressing this seriously with the concerned guide and associated vendors to ensure this does not happen again. Had we been informed in real time, we would have immediately stepped in to remove such stops and adjust your itinerary accordingly. Your feedback is important to us and highlights areas where we must improve, particularly in communication and execution on the ground. We truly appreciate your honest input and regret that your experience was impacted in this way. Best regards, Amit Crystal India Holidays
Really good experience. All the guides were very knowledgeable and spoke clear English. Having insight into history and structures was very positive. Taj Mahal is magnificent and our guide helped with photography. Jaipur incredible! We really enjoyed the safari in Ranthambhore, we saw a resting tiger, black bear, deer, little owl, crocodile, birds, wild bore, blue bull, monkeys. The ride in large truck was very jiggery and jolting, I was concerned my back would become painful. We felt the vehicles were lacking safety elements, role bars and seat belts, atypical. The guides helped with navigating areas where the people trying to sell on streets was intense, enabling us to be prepared. The car was comfortable with appropriate rest room stops, making the long journey no problem. We chose the five star option and our three hotels were beautiful. Overall a positive experience we would highly recommend,
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We are delighted to hear that you had a really good experience exploring the Golden Triangle and Ranthambhore. It is wonderful to know that our guides were knowledgeable, spoke clear English, and helped you understand the history and architecture of the sites. We are also glad you enjoyed the magnificent Taj Mahal, Jaipur, and the wildlife safari where you were able to spot a tiger along with many other animals. We appreciate your comments regarding the safari vehicle. The jeeps and canters used in Ranthambhore are operated by the forest department and are designed for rugged terrain inside the national park, which can make the ride a bit bumpy. However, your feedback is valuable and we truly appreciate you sharing your experience. We are also happy to hear that the comfortable car, well planned rest stops, supportive guides, and beautiful five star hotels helped make your journey smooth and enjoyable. Thank you for recommending us. Best regards, Amit Crystal India Holidays
This tour is a jam-packed, packaged way to see key old world monuments and important religious sites in this deeply cultured country. Highlights are, of course , the magnificent Taj Mahal and the tiger safari but there is so much more. We had excellent guides, hotel, and a safe, superb driver.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and were able to experience so many of the historic monuments and cultural highlights of India. The Taj Mahal and the tiger safari are certainly special experiences, and we are glad you enjoyed them along with the rest of the journey. It is also great to know that you were happy with the guides, hotels, and your driver. Your kind words truly mean a lot to our team. We hope to welcome you again on another trip to India in the future. Best regards, Amit Crystal India Holidays
