Totumo-Vulkan & Mittagessen

Beschreibung

Viajes Ultra offers you the best option that fits your budget.....
Great expectation, highly rewarding for the proposal and for what has been received.
The volcano experience is very good but the beach club and the beach itself leave to be desired
The Totumo volcano remains an interesting and original experience, the mud bath is a pleasant moment and worth a visit during a stay in Cartagena. On the other hand, the second part of the excursion is clearly below expectations. The “beach club” advertised does not really correspond to reality: it is rather a garden type place with swimming pool, without real atmosphere. Between 11:30 and 12:30, we were left on site without any particular activity, without music or drinks, which gives the impression of lack of organization and follow-up. Lunch was okay, no more. an interesting excursion for the volcano, but an overall unbalanced experience with a second part that deserves to be improved to live up to expectations.
The driver and guide super! The trip there very nice, also drove as a surprise to museum and pink sea. The mud bath itself was nice. Was well cared for and arranged. The local people were less and quite verbally aggressive and were only after tips. Certainly Rita was rude.
The most important thing to know is there is no shade during this adventure. You must climb stairs to the mud pit, you will wait on these stairs and because there is no shade it is hot!! Bring your flip flops to the top and don't let them take them. The mud pit is amazing. You are literally suspended in the mud and you feel weightless. Lather this mud everywhere , it leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. Once you get out you need to decend stairs and walk to the river, this is why you need your flip flops because the pavement is hot!! The river is where the ladies will wash the mud off, be careful if you're a man, because they will take your shorts off and may even give you a little "extra wash". Once you are done, make sure everyone who touched you knows you tipped them, thr men who message you in the pit and the ladies that wash you, they all expect tips and are very persistent.
Thank you, on behalf of our communities we appreciate your opinion, we are glad that you enjoyed the experience
The time waiting is almost as fun as the time in the mud volcano. Lots of vendors to eat and drink while you wait. Line gets long bc a lot of people are traveling there. Time inside is about 15-20min but it feels GREAT. They make you wash off in a local lake/water hub after the mud volcano dip bc mud is so heavy and then you can rinse off in showers and change BRING WATER SHOES
This was a nice experience to have for the first time. I wish they had a time limit to organize people in the mud but that’s not a tour guide issue. The guide does speak English and explains everything. They organized tips at the end of the excursion for the men that massages in the mud, the person who takes your photo and the person who washes you off at the lake, you can decline all extra services because they are all optional.
Nice trip, but communication could be better. We didn't know where or at what time we would be picked up until the morning itself, but once we left we had a good time:)
The mud tour was great! Our tour guide made sure to tell us all of the relevant information when we arrived, and the tour, including transportation to and from the volcano, was very well organized. Overall, it was a wonderful ecotourism experience, would recommend to anyone visiting Cartagena!
