Tour zum Myvatn-See, zu den heißen Quellen und zum Godafoss-Wasserfall ab Akureyri

Well worth your time. Beautiful trip with an interesting guide. The farm visit was so fun and interesting.

Tanya did a great job as our guide, and provided information on the history and geology of the area in a fun and engaging manner, including singing some Icelandic folklore songs and playing others on the audio system. We asked her about a poster we saw in a gift shop, and she explained the related legend of the Yule Cat and played an enchanting Icelandic song about it. The sulphur and hot springs formation were very interesting, as were the lava fields and Godafoss waterfalls.

The sites we stopped at were a very good geologic expression of Iceland and Akureyri, which we did enjoy. A must see when there! However the tour itself was not good! Our bus broke down after the first stop causing a 2 hour tour delay, which then caused us to have to skip the stop at lake Myvatn. The tour guide Ivy was not very good at communicating what was going on through this bus malfunction and instead of offering us our lunch she decided to take off on a river walk with half the group. Perhaps she did her best to make the best of a bad situation, however her communication skills were lacking! We had no idea if we were going to make it back to the ship in time until finally a new bus showed up 2 hours later. Unbeknownst to us, Apparently 4 other passengers found a city bus to take back(that information would have been nice of them to share as an option!) The stress of the unknown was a lot to bear! We had to rush thru all of the remaining sites (lava fields, mud pots) getting less than 30 min at each site. Ivy was also inconsistent in the things she told people; telling the group to be back at a certain time and then finding out she told others to come back 15min later was ok(we could have spent more time taking photos, exploring, etc!)Very frustrating!!! Quite frankly I think we deserved a partial refund!

We enjoyed our tour! Beautiful places to see and loved the knowledge and commentary on the bus. Sven was knowledgeable and fun! Would recommend this tour. We loved our visit to Iceland.

Interesting visit to the waterfall, mountain area on lava terrain following trails, very fascinating geothermal area! I recommend this excursion with the local agency that handled the excursion proposed by Viator.

Great 6 hr trip to waterfall, hot springs and volcanoes from Akureyi. Sven the tour guide was born and brought up in Iceland and had some very interesting stories to tell, I loved the one about rescuing puffins which have got lost. The tour was very professional and they even gave us a sandwich and water for lunch which was unexpected. The waterfalls were stunning and the hot springs were fascinating although very smelly! We are on a cruise ship and they returned us to the port in plenty of time. This trip was good value for money compared to the trips on the ship which are ridiculously expensive.

Sven was very knowledgeable and made the excursion very enjoyable. Tibbi was a safe driver.

Great tour. Sven was an awesome tour guide and had lots of local knowledge to share. We enjoyed our time getting to see this beautiful country.

All stops were great and tour guide was excellent (LiLi). The only blemish on the tour was the bus driver who kept answering phone calls and not keeping hands on steering wheel. Waterfall was amazing as well were the hot springs. I would definitely recommend this tour. Just not the bus driver, as he was also passing multiple vehicles at a time at high speeds.
