Wir verlassen die Stadt Siem Reap um 8:00 und 14:00 Uhr und fahren zum Dorf Kompong Pluk, das 31 km von der Stadt Siem Reap entfernt liegt. Die Fahrt dorthin dauert etwa eine Stunde. Auf dem Weg zu diesem Dorf machen wir Halt und besuchen unterwegs den lokalen Markt. Dann setzen wir unsere Reise zum Dorf Kompong Pluk fort. Beachten Sie, dass der hohe oder niedrige Wasserstand von der Jahreszeit abhängt und dass in diesem Dorf etwa 900 Familien leben. Wir holen Sie von Ihrem Hotel ab und fahren dann weiter zum Dorf Kampong Phluk. Wir werden anhalten, um die Bootstickets und die Toilette zu kaufen. Anschließend fahren wir zum Boot und besuchen das Dorf auf der Bootsfahrt.

This tour was so interesting. This is is a self sustained village that lives off of fishing and farming. Our guide, Tom, was outstanding! He taught us so much, and went out of his way to make our experience unique and amazing.

Wonderful experience. Our guide was very kind and the floating village was astonishing. The cocodrile restaurant in the middle of the lake was amazing and you can see real cocodriles as well as other animals.

It was great experience to join the tour, I joined a day tour for the Angkor Wat. The guide, Tom, is very knowledgeable and explains about the history and culture very well. I really enjoyed this tour and definitely recommend my friends if they have a chance to visit Siem Reap.

We had booked the early morning sunrise tour which was a great idea given the rapidly rising temperature and the amount of visitors on this day. The tuck tuck tuck us from the hotel to the not so distant temples and from one site to the next which gave a good experience of the surrounding area and a convenient way to limit the walking to the approaches to the sites themselves (still enough with a child and well over 30 degrees from 8am onwards). The tour guide Mr Thom San was making the visits much more meaningful by giving basic information as well as stories which brought the scenes to life. He knew all the hidden gems, cutting out the busiest parts and best perspectives to take in the breathtaking environment of ancient Khmer civilisation. A perfect experience!
