Great introduction to Oman. Most of the important sites in Oman were covered. We ha a fantastic and safe driver/guide who knew a lot about most of the sites we visited. He is very gregarious, happy, sociable and socially conscious about his country and the litter. We were surprised to see how mountainous Oman really is as we assumed it was mostly desert and flat like many middle eastern countries. The accommodation and food at some of the places was subpar but overall a very good, albeit at times tiring, tour. Highly recommended, the guide and the tour.

The planning and organisation of the tour Malak 6 Days was excellent. We could customize the tour with some additional stops, e.g. balcony walk at Jabel Shams. The 4x4 vehicle was very comfortable and our driver was not in a rush so that we had always enough time for sightseeing and walking/hiking. The tour is a great combination of cities, wadis, forts, old villages, desert and mountains. We enjoyed the tour very much and can highly recommend Discover Mazoon Tours.

We were two people on this private tour with our guide David. Everything went as planned. Pickup on time, hotels adequate, 4WD vehicle comfortable for 6 days on the road, our guide friendly, knowledgable, and willing to adjust to our quirks and desires. This tour (Malak) is soft adventure. The first few days have opportunities for swimming in different wadis. But be aware...you need to hike a bit to them over medium terrain, and you should be a capable swimmer. Then, two nights in Nizwa to see the fort, shop in the souk, and have an afternoon jaunt up to Green Mountain (a highlight for me). Next to the real mountains, a 4WD adventure into Oman's Grand Canyon....Absolute highlight for me! Then up to the mountain top resort to view the canyon from above. The final day, more thrills on the "hanging road," a twisting dirt road on the edge of a cliff for a few hours. Great scenery with Snake Canyon, and a soccer field in the middle of nowhere. Great fun, back to Muscat late afternoon of day 6. If you like nature, a bit of adventure, and a glimpse into another culture, you will like this trip.
