Die Stadt Mitad del Mundo, nur wenige Minuten von Quito entfernt, ist eine Ikone des Tourismus in Ecuador. In diesem besonderen Museum werden wir einige Aktivitäten der Physik genießen, die nur im Zentrum des Planeten stattfinden! Wie die Art und Weise, in der sich das Wasser dreht, wenn Sie unter anderem ein Ei in einem Nagel stoppen können! Nach dem Besuch können wir unseren Reisepass mit einer einzigartigen und anderen Briefmarke versiegeln ... Die Briefmarke "From the Center of the Planet". Dies ist ein unmöglicher Besuch, den die Besucher der Stadt Quito nicht machen sollten!

Reiseverlauf
Um 14:30 Uhr treffen wir uns am United Nations Boulevard (170102 Quito, Ecuador), um in einen Bus zu steigen und unsere Aktivität zu beginnen. Anschließend begeben wir uns in die „Stadt der Mitte der Welt“, wo wir einen kurzen Rundgang durch das Denkmal machen, das die Nordhalbkugel von der Südhalbkugel des Planeten trennt. Dieses Element wurde im 18. Jahrhundert erbaut, als die französische wissenschaftliche Expedition die Äquatorlinie definierte, die die Welt in zwei gleiche Teile teilt. Dies ist ein Muss für Besucher der Stadt Quito! In der Mitte der Welt werden wir Erlebnisse erleben, die den Gesetzen der Physik widersprechen und nur im Zentrum des Planeten stattfinden. Nach dem Besuch können wir unseren Reisepass mit einem einzigartigen und anderen Stempel abstempeln ... Das Siegel „Aus der Mitte des Planeten“. Sobald die Aktivität beendet ist, kehren wir zu unserem Ausgangspunkt zurück.
Mitten in der Weltstadt können Sie die Sehenswürdigkeiten erkunden kulturelle Attraktionen rund um den Touristenkomplex wie das Ethnographische Museum und die Ancestral Housing. Sie können auch die Treppen des Denkmals hinaufsteigen und dabei etwas über die Geschichte und Kultur Ecuadors erfahren.
Gegen 18:30 Uhr werden wir wieder auf dem United Nations Boulevard sein, um unsere Tour zu beenden.

Went here on a small group tour. Very interesting! Nobody went there but myself. 14 of us in the group with more women than men. They all wanted to go shopping so I went by myself. The elevator wasn't working so I took many flights of stairs but, each floor had displays and was like a museum! Lots to learn about Ecuador! Once on top, what a beautiful view of the area and Quito!! Once back with the group I told them about it and most were sad they didn't go!
I received a message a day before from Liv Ecuador, I believe it’s a local operator of this tour, that tour is canceled due to not enough people. Then next day, the day I booked for, received another message tour is ongoing. I was confused and a bit upset about for such short notice as I planned to do something else already, but Heidi (sorry if I spell wrong) and Julio were great guide, speak good English and a lot knowledge! We had like two hours at Mitad del Mundo and it was enough time. To see Ecuadorian houses, chocolate museum (Good to know about Ecuadorian chocolate), beer museum, stamp on your passport were all included. I highly recommend to go up to the rooftop of tower, it’s also free. Lift was broken and needed to use stairs, though!
Obviously this is a must see if you are in Ecuador. The neighborhood is very rough around the edges. The middle of the world city is like a small tourist enclave. Google maps takes you to the wrong location. But once you get to the traffic circle, you can't miss the place. The complex itself is a little bit over the top touristy. Of course there's nothing wrong with a place that caters to tourists, but I think a more technical / scientific / science-museum-like environment would have been more appropriate than a bunch of trinket shops. The price is cheap to get in and there are a few decent snack shops inside. A trip to the top of the tower is of course a must see, but don't expect too much of an impressive view from the top. The real beautiful view is often the distance and you can see it perfectly fine from surface level. After you visit this spot be sure to go next door Intinan museum and exhibit. That's where you will get a little bit more interesting albeit some not so accurate facts about the equator.
