Die Tour beinhaltet einen Besuch des größten aktiven Vulkans Europas: Ätna oder Mongibello. Auf dem Weg zum Gipfel durchqueren Sie verschiedene Landschaften. Von den höchsten Punkten genießen Sie eine spektakuläre Aussicht bis zur Insel Malta. Der Ätna wurde 2013 zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe erklärt. Sie können die Straße hinauf zum Rifugio Sapienza (1.923 m) gehen, wo sich eine gut sortierte Bar und ein Einkaufsviertel befinden. Den Gästen steht auch eine große Panoramaterrasse zur Verfügung, auf der man bei herrlichem Blick über weite Teile Ostsiziliens entspannen kann. Von der Hütte können Sie gegen eine Gebühr die Seilbahn nehmen, um eine Höhe von 2500 Metern zu erreichen. Von dort aus können Sie zu Fuß oder mit Geländefahrzeugen das 2920 m hohe Kratergebiet erreichen.
Taormina ist einer der bekanntesten Ferienorte der Insel. Nach Ihrer Ankunft begleitet Sie der Fahrer zur Porta Messina, dem Zugangspunkt zur Fußgängerzone der Stadt. Von hier aus können Sie das historische Zentrum von Taormina und das prächtige griechisch-römische Theater besuchen (Eintritt gegen Aufpreis). Sie können durch die mittelalterlichen Straßen schlendern, die atemberaubende Aussicht bewundern und die ausgezeichnete Gastronomie probieren. Verpassen Sie nicht die eindrucksvolle Panoramaterrasse mit Blick auf das Meer, einen reizvollen Treffpunkt, ein berühmtes Zentrum des gesellschaftlichen Lebens von Taormina. All dies ist die Piazza IX Aprile, der berühmteste Platz in Taormina, der sich zur Hauptstraße (Corso Umberto) mit seinen vielen Straßencafés, religiösen Gebäuden und historischen Gebäuden öffnet. If you have an extra free day in Palermo, you need to do this with Fabrizio! He picked up my family at 8:00 am and drove us to Mt. Etna. It was a long drive(2.5 hours) but we enjoyed every minute of it because Fabrizio taught us a lot about history, current events, architecture, nature and so much more while he drove us to the base of Mt. Etna. It started to rain when we reached the base so we stayed at the souvenir shop/cafe until the rain stopped. We took a lot of photos and videos of the stunning views and the constant rain plus the random lighting! After, Fabrizio drove us to Taormina where we spent 2.5 hours eating a delicious relaxing lunch and shopping at the vibrant shopping scene Taormina is famous for. Fabrizio picked us up where he dropped us off and everyone fell asleep with Fabrizio’s safe and comfortable driving. We all would love to do this again soon! We highly recommend Fabrizio, we voted him as the best guide in Palermo! Thank you Fabrizio!

We had a great time visiting Mt Etna and Taormina with this tour. The only thing is that we would have preferred more time in Taormina and less in Mt Etna, but it was so because of the decisions we made on the options offered at the site. Nevertheless, we had a lot of fun and thought this was worth our time and money, specially being it a private tour for our group. Our driver, Marcello, was wonderful and did everything he could to accommodate our requests.
Our driver was cordial and punctual but the published itinerary seems to be impossible as we went up the Mt Etna with cable car plus 4x4 bus. The bus in the mountain was unpredictable. We ended up spending all our time at Mt Etna.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us feedback. Unfortunately the journey from Palermo to Etna is about 3 hours, to add the journey to Taormina and the return. This is why the time to spend on Etna and in Taormina is about 2 hours for each stop. If the customer wishes to spend more time at one of the two stops, obviously there is no time left for the other stop. Consider that the tour planned in this way has a duration of about 12 hours including the road journey. We are happy that your experience on Etna was fantastic and thank you for the 5 stars.
Claudio was my guide and he was great. I found him to be very knowledgeable and helpful as I navigated around Mt Etna and Taormina. He made sure I got to see and enjoy the coast and stopped for photo ops. I really enjoyed this tour. I had enough time to enjoy each stop.

Taormina was fabulous and would absolutely go back. Etna was beautiful but I would prefer to spend more time in Taormina. Marcelo our guide was wonderful.
