Wir beginnen die Tour mit einer Abholung an Ihrem Hotel. Anschließend bringt Sie der Reiseleiter in die Stadt Tigre, wo Sie eine einstündige Fahrt in komfortablen Booten durch den Rio de La Plata mit den besten Panoramablicken auf die Stadt unternehmen , Segeln entlang des fünftgrößten Deltas der Welt. Der Reiseleiter erwartet Sie in Tigre, um in einem Privatwagen die berühmten Kopfsteinpflasterstraßen von San Isidro mit seiner Kathedrale und die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt Tigre, wie den Paseo Victorica, die Museen und das Casino, zu besichtigen. Der Obsthafen ist ein kleiner Pier am Ufer des Flusses Luján in der Stadt Tigre, neben dem sich der Obstmarkt befindet. Ihren Namen verdanken sie der Tatsache, dass dort bis Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts Obstproduktion aus dem Paraná-Delta landete, die dann in der Stadt Buenos Aires vermarktet wurde.
Der Paseo Victorica ist ein außergewöhnlicher Ort, der Natur, Blick auf den Fluss, Gastronomie, Ruderclubs und historische Sehenswürdigkeiten vereint.
Die Kathedrale von San Isidro ist ein religiöser Tempel im neugotischen Stil. Es übernahm Formen dieses Stils, die in Europa zwischen dem 12. und 16. Jahrhundert verwendet wurden, mit dem einzigen Unterschied, dass moderne Materialien und Techniken verwendet wurden. Das charakteristischste der Kathedrale sind ihre schlanken Linien, die von der Religiosität entworfen wurden, so dass sie zum Himmel zeigen. Seine Fassade wurde mit Steinimitationen und Sichtziegeln restauriert, wobei die ursprünglichen Ornamente in einer Werkstatt geformt wurden. Sein Hauptturm ist 68 m hoch. Seine Basis ist ein lateinisches Kreuz mit drei Schiffen und einer runden Apsis. Die Säulen sind zylindrisch und die Stein- und Ziegelwände haben Öffnungen mit in Frankreich hergestelltem Buntglas und gotischen Rosetten. Beim Betreten der Kathedrale kann ihre Pracht durch ihre Formen geschätzt werden, die sich von ihrer letzten Restaurierung abheben. Im Inneren können Sie die Säulen und Bögen im neugotischen Stil sehen, die Sie zum Altar führen.

After hearing from several people that we needed to visit the Tigre Delta we booked an afternoon private tour. We drove from the city center through Ave Libertador which was a very nice scenery, we stopped at San Isidro and saw the church and then proceeded to take a catamaran boat tour on the rivers Sarmientos and San Antonio. We were unable to walk around the San Fernando port area nor stop for lunch but it was a beautiful scenery.

The boat ride on the Tigre Delta (about 100 passengers n the boat) was pleasant and interesting. The "private tour" aspect was transportation to and from our hotel. Four of us were crammed uncomfortably into a small car. The driver spoke very little English, so there was not a lot of commentary about the sites in between the hotel and boat ride. Main activity was to try to sell us on a stop where we were supposed to purchase leather goods. We turned it down. In sum, would have been better to take a big bus tour.

We booked with Depasseios LLC (dp) for a city tour through Get Your Guide, and we had a great experience. Because of this, we went directly to the dp website to book the Tigre Delta tour. What a different experience, and not in a good way. They lost our reservation, and no tour guide showed up to pick us up at the scheduled time of 9am. Fortunately, we still had Luca, our city tour guide, on WhatsApp, and he was able to make contact with the office (none of the numbers we were provided with for dp worked), and they scrambled to find a guide for us who arrived at 10:15 am. The great news is that Diego, our eventual tour guide, was fantastic! We made it to Tigre by noon for the river tour, and we still had a successful day. At the end of the tour, Diego introduced us to El Ateneo Grand Splendid, an opera house converted into a bookstore, which we would have never found without Diego. So my rating is a 5 for Diego, and a 1 for Depasseios LLC, the tour company. That averages out to a 3.

This tour wasn’t what we expected. The guide picked us up at our hotel and drove us to Tigre. The guide seemed surprised that we expected him to get on the boat with us. He was just going to wait on the pier. Good thing he came, because the boat narrator didn’t say anything in English. Our guide was able to tell us what she said. The Tigre delta was not very picturesque. Mainly old houses along the river, most in bad repair.

Maurice was our guide and did a great job. He showed us the sites on the way to Tigre. The boat trip was very nice. It makes a loop through the delta. Very pretty area. We had beautiful weather for a boat ride. Lots of shade on the top level to enjoy the views. I highly recommend!
