So much food and a fantastic guide!
This was the second tour we did with this company. (We also did the street art tour which was excellent). I would like to start by reiterating that this tour is defiantly "ALL INCLUSIVE" like the description states. We were picked up in the spot we requested by our guide Nodar who happened to be the CEO in a spotlessly clean car with a driver wearing a suit! We were taken to a very cool area on the other side of the river and were given an orientation of the area and its restaurants and stores along with its culture and then had a chacha tasting (if you don't drink alcohol there were other options at all the stops which was nice). We then went to one of the most famous bakeries in the city and were treated to seven different Georgian specialities along with a choice of a local craft beer or wine. We were seated at a beautiful outside table and Nador shared information about each dish. Each one was delicious! He then had cars waiting for us and took us to another part of the city where we got to taste a variety of the local sodas and the best Khinhali (local Georgian dumplings) we ate during our week long stay in Georgia. Every year they win the local completion for the "best of the best" and they did not disappoint. We got to try a vegetarian option, the most popular and a fried option. Nador gave us a lesson and showed us the correct way of eating them which was very fun. This restaurant had a waiting line down the street but we were seated and served right away due to the relationship between Nador and the owner of the restaurant. After the Khinkali we took a walk in the thought the park where Nador shared about the history of Georgia, pointed out some monuments and showed us the President's house. He also answered all our questions which was lovely! Our stroll ended at a third spot which had lots of lovely handmade items of all kinds, a food court and several food vendors. Here we were able to try delicious ice cream (3 tastings then a choice of a cup or a cone) and then as a parting gift a package of local candy. Nador had cars waiting for us to take us wherever we wanted to go in the city. This tour is suitable for those who maybe don't want to do a huge amount of walking but want taste the best food that Tbilisi has to offer along with learning a little about Georgian history and culture! There is way more food than any one can eat and every item is DELICIOUS. Nador is a wonderful young entrepreneur and it was a privilege to support his business and eat the best food in the city! I would HIGHLY recommend this tour.
George planned the perfect food tour which introduces you to Georgian food as well as culture and history. I could not recommend this tour enough as I think it allows you to experience a lot of Tbilisi and Georgian culture in a short time!
The tour was a great introduction to the various food options available in Georgia, but don't eat before you join the tour. There is so much food provided, be prepared to leave a lot!
Thank you, George and Mariam! I had an incredible tour filled with unforgettable memories. Mariam's friendly guidance, fascinating stories, and insights into Old Tbilisi and Georgia were truly enriching. The wine tasting was a highlight, offering a perfect blend of conversation and culture. This tour was one of the best walking tours I've experienced, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Tbilisi experience.
Not given meet up point and then guy was cross when I didn’t respond to an email I hadn’t been sent. Was eventually sent email two hours after your Tour in place with very nigh number of smokers as an asthmatic this was challenging Guide on phone a lot not really a tour. Then decided it was all too difficult with my asthma and he was cancelling it. I asked him not to and he ignored me and just had transport come and take me back to freedom square
Amazing food and drink how to eat khan Kali was explained so well Our guide midair was super very friendly a must do if you have a free evening
I was visiting Tbilisi to watch a friend play rugby and had a free afternoon so booked this tour at short notice. George my guide was great, he meet me at my hotel and organized transport to the first stop near Fabrika after which every stop was in walking distance. George gave fantastic insights into all the food and it's origins as well as being super knowledge about the city and it's history providing great advice and recommendations for the rest of my stay. Don't get too full too quickly though! Unlike lots of other food tours that just provide samples or tasters this tour provides lots of food and you will not come away disappointed! The tour even included transport back to my hotel afterwards. All in all I can't recommend this tour highly enough. George is a great guide and has created a fantastic tour.
This tour was the perfect way to start my trip to Tbilisi. Nodar and George clearly put a lot of time and consideration into selecting the the perfect venues to explore contemporary and traditional Georgian cuisine. They were extremely knowledgeable and shared stories of their personal connections to the food and drinks we tried. They even offered tips and recommendations for the rest of my stay. Overall, this tour far exceeded my expectations and was worth every penny. Thank you Nodar and George for a great experience!
